The older unit (MS-RA55 which is no longer manufactured) that this replaced was about twice as deep and put out much more power to the speakers. When under way, I can barely hear the speakers over the motors.

It's a simple radio that was a minor upgrade so I could use the puck style remote control. What I really appreciated was the fact that when I turn the radio toggle switch on my boat the radio powers up, syncs to my BT and starts playing automatically. I don't think you would want this in your car or a portable speaker, but when on the boat it is nice to not have to mess with your phone to start listening.

Installed the stereo and the display lit up but no text. Contacted Garmin and got great support. Placed a return request to Amazon and received a new unit in 3 days. New unit works great. Good sound and can select the zone volumes easily. Really like that it's waterproof.

This unit is a direct replacement and good upgrade for the MS-RA55. The fuse is now built into the body instead of hanging out on a wire like the MS-RA55. The amplification is adequate.

So if you have purchased a CanAm Defender and it doesn’t come with a stereo, (still can’t believe Limiteds come without one, which is what I own) and you’re fairly handy, this is your ticket. Now right off the bat- this will not beat a high amplification, 6 speaker set up but if your like me, in a single cab, it’s darn near perfect. The idea wasn’t mine but rather a guy who posted on a forum and he chose this stereo from Fusion. Reasons were it’s rated for marine environments, can use a rubber cover (extra cost item but well made), is easy to install and plays well on smaller (5-1/4”) speakers. I chose to run some Kickers, and mounted everything with small bolts/ nyloc nuts. Screws loosen over time so better to do this once and be done with it. Providing you are handy with tools and have a basic understanding of automotive wiring, this set up is a breeze. CanAm even made their upper front cover and powered bus bar, with this in mind. It has convenient pre-marked spaces for speakers, so cutting the holes, so they match left to right, couldn’t be easier. I taped all my wires down to avoid buzzing. The stereo itself does a decent job of picking up HD radio so invest in the $5 antenna for it and just loop it around the panels back, to maximize reception. Works very well with Bluetooth and it pairs almost instantly. The screen is easy to read and fades to off, once left alone. This helps for night driving. The menus on the Fusion can be a little strange, but like many devices with one toggle, and few buttons, it’s like diving down rabbit holes to find you’re settings. Once you have figured this out, you’re pretty much done. Set your bass higher and treble to suit. It will not play anything remotely deep in bass. It’s honestly a mid/ treble powered unit but when you see how small the little unit is, your actually impressed. I’ve since paired mine with a small powered sub, that seems to be just about perfect (150 watts peak) for filling in some deeper notes. Best part is that I’m still well under $350, which is less than 1/2 of what the factory charges for basically the same set up, without a subwoofer. Only caveat Id add is if installing the piece into a SxS, having disconnects, to allow for any future removal, is a must. That and a helpers hands, to hold it in place. Photos of my finished work. Took about 3 hours and kept me from dealing with visiting In-laws. Perfect.

Fusion MS-RA60 Marine Stereo and Fusion Entertainment 4-channel Marine Amplifier don't work like they claim. On the back of the MS-RA60 there are only one channel ( Speaker jack set plug in). So you can't have a rear or front channel. Clearly the MS RA60 can hard wire but the amp will only take input jack left and right ( One Channel) The Amp ( Fusion Entertainment 4-channel Marine Amplifier) and the phone app is smoke and mirrors as well. The Stereo and the amp don't talk to each other its all manual ( Knob tuning by hand) Sound Good and much better than the stereo the boat came with. I've called and have never been able speak with anyone from Fusion...

I put it in my truck, I think it looks good.its got bluetooth so you can actually connect a phone to it, a screen to tell you what is playing, a big knob to turn which increases or decreases volume, and three big buttons that let you skip songs or pause them.there is nothing else i need and nothing else I could ask forif the phone is currently part way through a song, paused, upon connection it will not show the song name until you skip or the next song begins. This can happen if you simply turn the unit off and back on after a short while.kind of annoying in my use case where it would be likely to happenthis does not happen in my car with its factory radio, it will show the song name in this case, so hopefully its something they can maybe fix in a firmware update.
