I bought this valve so that i could change pans when changing the oil in my commercial sized bus as it holds 23 quarts of oil. I am very happy with the quality and will enjoy not having to fish the plug out of a bucket of nasty oil.

I put this on my 1969 Massey Ferguson 135 perkins gas engine and it works great! This is probably the 4th one of these valves I have purchased for my vehicles and I will continue to do so.

I used this valve to replace the aluminum oil drain plug on my trusty Volvo 240. Makes changing the oil a breeze. For those of you concerned about the oil leaking out - don't be. The valve requires a considerable amount of force to release and the handle has to be turned to let the oil drain out. In addition, Fumoto has included a plastic retainer clip for added protection. It is absolutely impossible to inadvertently turn the valve into the open position.

great product, I was able to put on as the oil was drain out.... Thinking about buying one? I recommend you get the one with the nipple. it gives you the option of attaching a hose for easy & direct draining into a jug or bottle.

With 19 quarts of oil to drain in our diesel motor home, it's impossible to control the full drain pan without risking spills. Stopping the flow of hot waste oil using the factory drain plug is messy, uncomfortably hot, and scary. The Fumoto Drain Valve allows incremental drainage of the crankcase so that you can pour the waste oil into your disposal container in two or more batches to minimize the risk of spillage. When you've drained your oil, it takes only a few minutes to install the drain valve, then on future oil changes, you can easily turn the lever to open the valve, and shut it off when you've drained an amount of waste oil you feel confident that you can control. You'll also never again risk cross-threading or over-torquing your drain plug.

The gasket tore creating a tiny drip. Replaced with a copper crush washer and it works perfectly.Also note that the threads engage beyond the bottom on the oil pan on the Volvo, a small amount of oil remains in the pan.
