I was working on a 20+ year old truck with no real maintenance record whose Check Engine light had kicked in, so I've been replacing parts that are inexpensive (O2 sensors and spark plugs) and testing those that cost some money (fuel injectors). I had bought a fuel injector tester kit that plugs directly into a 12V source but decided against using it. When a fuel injector is in an engine, the voltage (and therefore the current through it) is applied for extremely short durations. I was concerned that while testing I could burn up the coils and destroy the fuel injectors themselves, so I bought this one instead.Works great, only problem was universal for this style of tester: the amount of pressure coming from the carb cleaner can easily popped the fuel injectors out of the plastic attachment. The injector needs to be held tightly in place while simultaneously spraying the can, then this tool's activate button needs to be pushed.

Used unit and overall use fulfilled my need. However the fitting on the can leaked a lot and there were no instructions. Overall worked much better than an ultrasonic cleaner.

This tester work great and is of better quality than one might think for the price. Great for the occasional use. Used it to clean a set of injectors on a motorcycle, made the job go so easily. Glad to have this in my tool box.

I was looking to purchase bigger injectors but wanted to take the cheap route- I bought 2 sets of injectors that had less than favorable reviews due to some injectors being DOA- enter this tester to save me the hassle of installing injectors only to learn they need to be swapped. Out of the 8 injectors, this saved me the hassle and found 2 DOA injectors- and all of this cost less than a single injector from the dealer... time and money well spent in my case- and honestly, seems like good practice to test EVERYTHING, regardless of vendor reputation- because duds do happen!

The unit I received only worked on the first of eight injectors. No I did not reverse the polarity. Had this set-up on my assembly table with 12v battery out of my corvette. The following injectors failed to pulse when in any of the modes. Initially mode 4 was used. Went back and retested the first injector and the unit was dead. Opened up the unit by removing the four screws only to find that one of the diodes on the printed circuit board had burned up. P.S. the second set of leads are useless. You can only test one injector at a time.Update: 09-20-23Seller Kaisal re-imbursed me for the Injection Tester and sent me a new replacement free of charge.Unfortunately the second unit failed exactly the same way as the first; having cycled only one injector.I really can't say that it is a faulty fuel injector tester; but they both only cycled one time.Suspect the unit is not capable of testing my GM/Bosch fuel injectors. GM 12554271 or Bosch 0280155752. This injector is rated as 28.55 lb/hr @ 58 psi, high impedance - 13.1 Ohms with an EV1 style connector. The 6-pin diode that burned up has EBEOC printed on top and is located at position U2 on the circuit board. You'll need a 20X Jewelers Loop to verify the failed diode.
