Suggestion for Replacement
We recommend replacing the filter every 6 months. However, the filter life depends on water quality. When there is a bad taste or smell even less than 6 months or the water flow is significantly reduced, please replace the filter.

Of course there's no way to know if the filter is doing what it's advertised to do, so one must have faith. I have 2 small complaints: the canaster threads aren't robust, so it leaks a bit. I use mine every other day and leave it attached to the hose bib out in the afternoon sun, but the filter has turned green with mold.

Quality at a affordable price. The first thing I noticed was the plumbers tape, it's not the cheap skinny type, it's wide just like the true professional stuff. Didn't need any instructions, anybody can install the filter in a few minutes, be sure to look at the IN and OUT markings. Always be sure to use the plumbers tape, most such plumbing items leak when the tape isn't used. I'm using the filter system outside for drinking water for me and my dogs. My plants always do better when the water is filtered. The water tastes great with this filter system. You found what you're looking for.

The product was difficult to mount as the mounting screws can only be accessed from the top, so DO NOT, purchase if for a tight spot. Had a problem getting it to seal and not leak. Had to purchase some seal lubercant to stop the seal from bunching up. But on the good not is takes the sediment out of the water and improves the taste.

The size, sturdy build and wrench for quick filling and refilling canister during bleaching process for foul smelling camper water supply lines. Didn’t buy it for original purpose of water filtering but that would work fine too.

Let me start by saying that I am a hobbyist and am fully engrossed in the art of Bonsai. As such, the quality of water that I use on my plants is pretty important. I always knew that my plants grew more after a natural rain, but now I get similar results from my hose!Another unexpected benefit is the lack of water spots on leaves! I never realized how many minerals were in my regular tap water, but I believe that the filter is doing a great job since my leaves are now spotless!I'm thinking of using it to wash my car too.The filter is easy to hook up and is constructed in a pretty solid way. No leaks around connections, and durable housing.Overall I'm pretty happy.
