Works as described. Lots of tape. Durable. Functional. Good sizes offered. Easy to remove in the spring. The tape peels off.

Item is thicker than indoor version, thus making it more effective. It is also, very easy to apply.

Tape is difficult to work with and the plastic is too thin to make any significant difference. Plastic also tears easily.

Even replacement windows let cold air in and your expensive heat out. I don't care what kind of windows you have if the glass is cold to the touch you need this. I have an older home that has oversize windows so I get this kit and cut the plastic down to my window size. Here's a tip: let the film set for at least a week before you heat the film to shrink it. This lets the double sided tape set and get a tighter grip on the window frame.

Cleaned my window edges with alcohol and dried then put tape on. All seemed to go good. Then put plastic on and stretched it well. Looked okay except for a few wrinkles I wasn't worried about. Next morning we had 15 mph winds and the plastic and tape blew right off and was gone. The 3M I have always used before stayed on through blizzards with 40 mph winds. Guess you do get what you pay for.

So far it has been working. Will see how it does during the winter

I buy this exact item every fall to cover our patio doors in our bedroom. We don’t use it outdoors, but indoors instead. Super easy to install as the product is of very good quality. The tape goes on easy and adhering the poly is just as easy. Use a hair blower to make the wrinkles disappear and make taught. Bonus it comes off just as easy in spring. Tape too.

No esperes milagros pero si se distingue una pequeña diferencia en temperatura, bastante laborioso de colocar, ojalá durara mas tiempo

First of all, pick a warm, dry day to install this. With any outdoor winterproofing, start before it actually gets cold, or you'll really hate it.Second, this product's marketing is a little misleading. It's not "stretch" in the sense that the film is elastic, because it isn't. It's "stretch" in that you stretch it taut over the window. Because it isn't elastic, that's not easy to do well. Possibly it's too hard to make an elastic film that would work in this application, but don't let the box give you the wrong idea. There are a few tricks to getting this stuff to work. Otherwise, you're wasting your time and money. The film does have to be pretty tight. It does have to be attached all the way around, without significant gaps. The tape does not seem to stick well at first, but if you can really smooth down the edges and let it sit in place, it sort of firms up.When you start, DO NOT run an edge of the plastic along the top of the patio door, because you'll find it's not really rectangular and it doesn't reach one of the other edges. Instead, unfold the plastic enough to make sure you have at least a few inches overlap on all sides. Then start at the center top and work outward and then downward. Look ahead to how you'll attach it to the bottom, which is tricky on some doors. And clean the edges with rubbing alcohol and let it dry before applying the tape.Even though this is an outdoor winter product, don't let the tape freeze before you use it. Sometimes the tape in these kits is shot and won't adhere. I've been told that this is because it froze and thawed at least once before it was sold. Once it's in place, it seems immune to freeze cycles. Beats me. If your plastic won't stick well, or if you get tears, buy Frost King weatherproof tape, which looks kind of like packing tape but is thicker, stretchier, and more forgiving. Use that to seal the edges and repair tears before they go too far.
