- Clean the surface to be masked with a mild detergent solution.
- Make sure the paint surface is dust-free and dry.
- For accurate placement, adhere FrogTape in short sections to avoid stretching the tape.
- Make sure FrogTape is flush to the edge that you will be painting.
- Using a putty knife, or 5-in-1 tool, press the tape you laid to burnish it to the surface you are masking.
- Remove painting tape immediately after you are finished painting.

The liquid evaporates from the paint and it takes about 24 hours for a paint to be considered "dry to the touch".

I prefer this to conventional brown masking tape. This is easier to see when placed and is a superior quality product vs. Amazon masking tape, which tears easily for me. This is strong tape and adheres well. I haven't had it long enough to know how difficult it will be to remove in a year or two. And it probably would work as painters tape, but haven't tried.

I tried using multiple 3M painters tape and I never got crisp lines. What a huge difference this tape made. For once what you see in the picture is actually what the results look like. The tape was easy to tear by hand and I would say had just above medium adhesion. It was very easy to remove and I learned that there were two colors. The blue version is for smooth surfaces while the green was designed for rough. So if you have textured dry wall the green version is what you want. It is worth the extra cost of the tape. Trust me I had to repaint multiple rooms of trim because of the poor quality of the 3M tape.

FrogTape is hands down the best painter’s tape I’ve used. It really lives up to its reputation! I used it for a couple of home projects, and the lines came out so clean and crisp. The tape sticks well to walls and doesn’t peel off paint when removed, which I’ve had issues with in the past with other brands.The best part is the PaintBlock technology, which helps prevent paint from bleeding under the tape, even with a little bit of moisture. It’s a little pricier than regular painter’s tape, but it’s definitely worth the investment for the professional finish it delivers.Overall, if you want clean, sharp lines on your next painting project, I highly recommend FrogTape!

I don't think I'll ever try to use any other painter's tape if I need a clean line. This worked amazing for creating a clean line around a window sill I was painting. Definitely recommend. I wish we'd started using it sooner.

I use it for artwork, It is flexible enough for creating non-straight lines and can usually be straightened out after being folded, which is very helpful for designing curves.

Had to paint a few rooms and I learned my lesson in the past to only go with frog tap as it truly stops paint from getting where it shouldn't and pealing it off is easy and gives me excellent results. Will buy again (more to paint). Blue tape for me is hit or miss depending on the quality - but Frog tape I can count on to give me the results I expect.

I bought this tape to hang up drawings in my dorm room, and so far, it’s been working great! I’m using just a small amount of tape to hold each paper, and it lays flat against the wall, which I was pleasantly surprised by.It’s also really easy to remove, and two weeks in, none of the drawings have fallen off! I also found that I can easily remove the tape from the back of my drawings without damaging the paper (just regular printer paper), which is a big plus.One thing to note: If you're using this tape on painted walls, I recommend replacing it every month because if left on too long, it can adhere to the walls and take some paint off. Additionally, I wouldn’t recommend placing it in direct sunlight for extended periods (like two weeks) because the adhesive can start to melt, leaving residue on the wall.

Finally, a tape that gives sharp, clean lines even on textured walls. This works wonders while painting and caulking. the adhesive is strong and comes off clean. But if you are using this to paint any detailed accents on textured walls, those lines won't be very sharp. You are better off doing freehand.

So happy with this tape. I read the instructions in the Amazon description saying to use a credit card (or something similar) to ensure the tapes sealed. Well it worked like a charm! There is a small bit of bleeding but you have to look really closely. The last photo shows some of the bleeding
