With Harrisville Designs Traditional Cotton Loops, you get a pack of loops in assorted colors, custom sized for Harrisville's 7'' x 7'' traditional potholder loom (loom sold separately). The bag contains enough cotton loops to weave 2 potholders (6" x 6" finished size). These loops are available in 34 beautiful colors. Children can enjoy this quiet-time activity, perfect for rainy days, play dates or car trips. While having fun, they are learning hand-eye coordination, patterning, and refining fine motor skills. Hand weaving, knitting and felting are wonderful intergenerational activities your whole family can share. These loops do not fit the larger-size Harrisville Potholder PRO Loom (sold separately). I found my daughters 30 year old potholder loom and decided to make a few trivets for putting hot on. These loops are 100% cotton so no worries about them melting if they come in contact with a hot pan.Each bag makes 2 potholders with a few to spare.

Love the old fashion loops not as stretchy so the pot holder come out the right size where the newer loop are to stretchy and potholders come out the size of coasters but will have to buy more than one bag to make a design you want due to the bag has all sorts of colors but not enough of one colors to use one color go one way and another color to go other way. Easier fr children o use because not as stretchy dose not take as much strength to pull to other side and kid so kids can do it more easily

No Joke! Literally the best loom and loomers that I have ever used. All the loomers fit. No stretching required. Soft and thick, vibrant colors. The metal loom is great. No slipping or bending. Will be buying the 10 inch loom very soon.

I purchased the traditional loom kit plus 2 packages of loops. Love the bright colour mix.1 issue is that between the 3 bags of traditional size loops, there was 10 loops short of being able to finish the last pot holder. I can't finish it without them which is both disappointing and a waste of money.

I tried other companies that were lower in cost to Harrisville. One of them I couldn't use their loops at all and wound up throwing the entire bag in the garbage. The quality of Harrisville is by far superior to any of them. In addition, the company is awesome in customer service. They are so helpful and want to set its customers up for success. I will order them again because the potholders are beautiful and people I give them to are so grateful. They will outlast me for sure!

I've tried other cotton loops (and some nylon loops) and these are the best. These loops have rich color, durable weave, and just the right amount of elasticity. My 6-year-old son loves making pot holders and these are the BEST for his young fingers. The loops make the project difficult enough to make it challenging, but easy enough that he's not too discouraged to try. We use these loops with the Harrisville loom, which I recommend. If you're looking for something for younger kids or kids with underdeveloped fine motor skills, then consider nylon (Nylon loops are super stretchy - good for weaker hands, but they shrink and the finished pot holders are only big enough to be used as coasters or for play kitchens.) These cotton loops hold their size beautifully so that you end up with a "true" pot holder size, and they hold up wonderfully in the laundry.

I did not purchase this for a toy, but for a potholder loom I had been using for many years. I had purchased some brightly colored loops several years ago, and needed some more. These are wonderful, bright colors. People love receiving and using them! Making these potholders is fun for kids and grownups too. My husband remembers making them many years ago when he was sick and in bed. Good for kids who like making things.

These loops are adequate but I cannot give them very high of a rating. They had lots of loose ends which would frequently snag causing some harsh words to be said over them. They seem somewhat expensive (to me) at about $2.50 per potholder (36 loops) for only average quality. The color selection was somewhat limited in the assorted bags. Additional colors are available in one-color-per-bag lots. Also the size and thickness varied from loop to loop. Overall, less quality than what I would like to work with.
