I got this for the childcare center where I work with children of all ages ( six wks old to 12 years). This kit was a hit! Four year olds (with a lot guidance) could make choices and create a craft while the six to 10 year olds were fully independent after very brief instruction. A group of four of them could have used up the kit in one afternoon! Super for collaboration and goal oriented play.Benefits: organized cotton loops in plastic containers (great for choice making), multiple hooks and holders for a small group, FUN! and CREATIVE activity option for fingers to get kids engaged with each other and off of technologyDrawbacks: poor instructions (no idea how to use the gem stone loops and the video wasn't instructive either), choking hazards for curious young childrenI'd say this is super for kids five and older--maybe go to YouTube for more instructions. Nothing in my kit included rubber (except maybe the trinkets) so I'm not sure why that is indicated in the product name.

We recently used this kit in an afterschool activity program, and the kids had a great time making bracelets and even getting very creative and making other little creations of their own ….some of the adults even entertained making a few bracelet creations too, and had a lot of fun with this set…there are lots of pieces, lots of colors and lots of ideas and versatility with this little kit!

My daughter and I love making loom bracelets with the small rubberbands, but the little rubberbands tend to get dropped and I find them all over the house, which is a pain. These fabric versions are a great alternative, and easier for little fingers to use, too. This is a great starter set -- two looms and hooks, a nice vareity of bands, some charms, beads, and a couple of keychain clips. The instructions are easy to follow, and unlike rubber versions of these, once you're done weaving, you just tie the ends together instead of trying to get a clip on there. The colors are very pretty -- I especially like the stripey ones -- but there aren't so many as to be overwhelming. It doesn't take a ton of bands to make a bracelet, and they're more comfortable on your wrist. Overall, this is a great set, and I love this idea!

I have created a monster with my daughter. All she wants to do is make bracelets and now she wants more of these since she likes to make them into hair ties. Basically these are like those old kits with the looms and you can make pot holders. she picked up on this quick and went through this whole kit in a night. So if your kid is like mine, you will need a bigger kit

I got this kit for my friend's children to use while they're over at our house. They absolutely love it! They immediately dove in, and were thrilled to find that there are enough looms included for all of them to work at the same time. It's super easy to use, and the rubber bands used are larger and softer than the original version of this trend, so they both work up more quickly, and are more comfortable to wear. I think my only difficulty now will be finding refills for this set, since I've never seen this specific kind of elastic band before. Overall, it's a great value for the money!

This kit comes with everything you need to make bracelets. I would say they are thicker than a typical rubber band, more like pony tail holders that don't snag. They are softer than rubber bands. Our family is just getting into making bracelets and this is a good kit for younger ones to get started!

All in all, I think this is a great kit. My 9 year old and her friends have enjoyed making a few bracelets with this kit. I am worried what will happen when they run out of the rubber bands. They remind me of the terry cloth hairbands I used to use as a kid, but they are smaller, so I'm not sure where we could get more. Additionally, I'm not sure about the longevity of the bracelets. The instructions aren't quite clear on how to finish the bracelets (it literally says "tie it up and wear it!" - but we have yet to figure out how to tie them so they stay tied. Especially with active young kids, the knots come out after a bit. This set is a nice way for my daughter to pass the time with her friends, but I will say that the kit was in a thin, generic white box. That box was actually split open when it arrived, so it's not really suitable for gift-giving. That said, I think it's a nice set, but has limited applications.
