After installing the winch, placed the quick disconnects, attempted to plug the two ends together and it was very difficult to connect and disconnect the ends. Would not buy again.

The people that do not understand that the 'terminal' needs to be installed so the tension tab goes down to 'merry' the two ends together, really need to update their reviews. Some people need generic instructions i guess. This is a very nice product, however, it would be nice to include a few 6-8 guage lugs for versatility.

Great connectors. Easy to crimp. Work well. The rubber covers suck. I prefer the plastic covers instead

This is for the Red Frienda 3 pack of 175a connectors and contains rubber covers. The red plastic housings are labeled JNCK Power Products SJ 175A-600V. The metal connectors will snugly fit 1/0 welding cable even though description says 2-4ga. It's a bit big, I doubled over the factory 6ga wire on the device and used some 6 ga also doubled over and crimped in there which worked ok. These are way overkill for my 12v 85A load, but that's ok bigger is better. Yes I know the device is using too small of wire...I cut the wires about 12" and installed this plug there. MY wiring will be much larger. They went together pretty well and crimped down with a heavy duty Hydraulic crimper die size of 35. You WILL need something similar. Some say solder, but that can also cause problems with creating a breaking point of the wire and cold solder joints. I also recommend using Dielectric Grease on the contacts to maintain minimal corrosion for years. If your cable is twin, make sure to crimp so both blades are facing the same direction so the wire will lay in connector nice and flat. As well as make sure the flat sides of crimp are sideways or on the same plane as the flat of metal connector to fit better in the connector.

These are as expected and nice quality as far as I can see. I have no other experience with these so I can't compare them.As these were the first time I installed these, it took just a bit to figure out which way they go in. Once I figured that out, I pushed them in till it clicked and seated well.I need to buy more of these and update the rest of my equipment.Have fun!
