These are fine, and will do as an emergency shelter in a pinch (which is what I got them for). They smell a little funny, but that's okay since if I ever actually use them it'll be outside. They're a reasonable size for my 6'1" self, and would be very easy to set up with a top line to use as an emergency bivvy. I would also fit in it well as an emergency reflective vapor barrier to stay warm. One complaint I have is that like so many other things on Amazon these days, they came with a bunch of extra essentially trash for me to throw away. They came in these absurdly heavy and bulky hard shell cases, which made no sense whatsoever to use. One of them is going in my day pack, but in the little stuff sack. The hard clamshells went in the trash because they're pointless extra weight.

These are a great value for a two-pack, and I'm going to make sure there's always one at the bottom of my day-hiking pack, just in case it turns into a longer-than-a-day hike. The ones we got are a vibrant orange on the outside, so they double as high-visibility signs for anyone looking for you. The whistle is nice and loud, and the packaging and included paracord is all high-quality. Here's hoping we don't have need of these, but I sure am glad we have them.

This is a great emergency helper. I got the 2-pack, and broke out one of them to try. Left the other one bundled. I'm glad I did, I managed to get the opened one back in the packaging, but it's not quite as neat.As a backup, I'm liking this. Hopefully, your life won't need an emergency tent, but this will easily fit in the back of your vehicle to carry in case of need. Or it won't take up a lot of space in your evac bag, because you never know what you might need.Definitely a cozy fit for 2 people, but better than exposure to the elements.

This is a lightweight mylar emergency tent that is large enough for two people. It is supposed to withstand rain, wind and snow. It comes packed in a stuff sack, which is enclosed by a hard EVA case. There is a whistle connected to the stuff sack. I measured 8.8 oz on my digital scale. Also included is a 20' length of paracord, to tie between two poles or trees. That is very strong, rated at 650lbs. The seller says that the footprint is 3' x 6', the one I set up seemed even longer. You suspend the tent, and then put weights in the corners to spread it out. In an emergency this would work if there is no wind. There is no real way to tie it down.. Also the material is very light, and I got a tear in mine. Still , I think this is a good item to have in your car for an emergency. Even if you didn't need a tent you could use it as a cover to keep an injured person warm. It is very small,, and I put in in with my spare tire. I gave it 4 stars because it could save a life, or two. You never know.

I used one of these tents on a weekend trip in lieu of my usual tent and found these to perform admirably in the conditions. One thing I love about this set is that it comes in a hard shell. This means that after breakdown, you can stuff it into something that will compress it further meaning no space loss that you get with a lot of mylar tents. To top it off, it's a great value, rivaling the price of one tent from other brands.

I got these to keep in my and my wife's Bug Out Bags and was able to test one a few weeks ago when we had an unexpected 20 degree night. They worked great. They also come in a small hard shell case to prevent them from getting damaged when stored in a backpack.

You never know if you'll ever need it, but if you do, it's exactly as advertised. The "tent" material, itself, is a more durable mylar-style material, highly efficient at reflecting radiant heat back at you when in the cold, and the cords themselves are durable enough to last through a survival situation (or two) while trying to flag down help. To that end, having the higher visibility orange option is a great option. The best part of these however, is the size of them - they are quite tiny and can be stuffed into any small nook or cranny in your car - with such a small space footprint and reasonable, it's an excellent hedge on the off chance you find yourself stuck in a less than desirable situation.

Incredibly well-packaged emergency tent - sort of like the space blanket, but in a heavier tent fabrication. Comes in a small nylon draw string bag that holds the tent and a hank of paracord - the drawstring on the bag has a emergency extra loud whistle attached to it. All of that is held within a hard sided zipper pouch - helping to ensure your emergency tent doesn't suffer a puncture while being stored in your backpack or wherever you keep it for that day of need. If your backpacking, you may need to remove the zipper case for weight reasons, but it could also be used as a separate pouch for fire-starting gear, toiletries or whatever. Haven't seen anything this well packaged in quite a while, good value.
