Been using Maxima and Motorex fork oils for years on my Fox 36's. Decided to go with the 20wt gold on my latest 38's. The Gold seems tackier and thicker than the Maxima or Motorex, but Fox says it's good so we shall see. The 38 is buttery smooth after it's first service.

It is Fox oil for lower fork service. Fox Factory 36 uses 20wt for both air side and damper. Don't forget to put the 3cc in the top of the air chamber.Tip: When doing a lower service be careful how much grease is used. Too much greese on the chamber side can clog the ability of air to equalize between the chambers.

It is what Fox Racing recommends for the Fox Factory 36 Grip2 forks that I am rebuilding. Qty 1-bottle is more than enough needed for a rebuild. Amazon has a reasonable price point.
