Previous owner of truck destroyed the old orfice trying to remove it apparently and I tried getting the remnants out to no avail and ended up cutting the orfice tube off and using this repair kit to fix it. Works great and fits great. Now just need to recharge the ac.

Thank you for making this kit. It saved a lot of labor and some money. The AC is blowing cold now on a 1979 El Camino, not an easy feat.I am even using a Delco A6 compressor (replaced the seals) and it works smoothly.

This part saved the day. While my system isn't the cleanest it now works better than it ever did.I carefully cleaned and polished the existing evaporator tube where I was going to cut it and where the new ring was going to seal. Then I cut it using a close quarters tubing cutter. I deburred the tube both inside and outside before installing the repair tube. The orfice tube turned out to be the correct diameter required so I didn't have to use my spare part.The piece sealed very well the first time.

This is exactly what I knew it would be just not as cheap as I got it. If you are driving an older vehicle and the condensor threads get stripped you can cut the fiting off and use this without the orifice tube like a compression fitting. Great product, great price, great shipping.
