the valve works good as long as the outside temperature is high and hot, unfortunately as soon the temp drops the valve starts making noise badly and it won't go away till the AC is off, I replace it to the original one. there were black plastic shavings on the valve and it seems that there are coming from the o ring part. I would recommend but my best guess is that I got a bad one, and leaving in Arizona you can really be with out AC.

Seems to function properly. But my A/C is now noisy when I turn off the truck. Sounds like the freon gas moving around in the system (farting). Not sure if it has to do with this being a variable openingo orifice tube. Verse the OEM was a fixed opening. I did vaccum down the system correctly. If I have to replace again. I would go with an OEM style fixed open orifice tube

Had it installed for two months. Was working good and then one day my compressor was turning on and off a lot. Hooked up pressure gauges and the pressures were all over the place all over the place. Evacuated system and found this split in two Pieces. No clue where the other half went. 2002 Ford Excursion.

First off,this is NOT a panacea for an inadequate nsystem But, here in South Florida,it does what I wanted. In heavy traffic,long idle times, well over 90 degree heat, cooling is improved,blowing 44 degrees on a 95 degree day. The OE fixed tube would creep up toward 60 under the same conditions. On the highway, it is about the same as any fixed tube, I get vent temps between 42 & 47 depending on ambient temp.The only drawback,and the reason I probably would not install in a customer car, it makes an annoying vibration noise when idling. A typical customer, even one forewarned will complain. But for my own car, I'll live with the noise for the improvement in heavy traffic.

Had changed the compressor out previously. Had good pressure on the high side but not on the low side. Replacing this did the trick. Old one was full guck.

Instructions were included which is nice. Can't say it made a difference over the OEM one yet - hasn't gotten hot enough to tell. Being in the desert, I am hoping this provides more cooling capacity than what came with the truck.

This is the go-to solution to many A/C problems caused by inadequate control of the system pressures. The automatic-adjusting feature of this Orifice Tube controls the system pressure better by allowing the restriction in the valve to change with the demands of the system -- which leads to less compressor cycling, a more even outlet temperature, and longer compressor life. A slight increase in Fuel Mileage is also possible, due to less compressor cycling. The Four Seasons #38904 is for Severe Service (for temps above 105 F.) and is a MUST for Southwestern desert climates. NOTE: When opening the A/C system for repair -- *Protect Your Compressor !!* BE SURE to replace the Accumulator/Drier with a NEW one at the same time !! Good Luck !
