Before getting the GimaiOurun Fountain Cover we had a standard tarp covering a tall shelving unit we keep out doors. Lots of ropes and pins were used to keep the tarp tight. Because the dimensions were perfect, we ordered the “Fountain Cover” and it looks like it was custom made for our application! Quality seems good and hopefully it will hold-up well over the summer. It’s gray so nothing “pretty” about it, but it’s far better looking than the exposed shelf with all the outdoor tools it holds. The retail price seems fair if it’s durable and lasts more than one season. I’ll update the review later in the year if it doesn’t hold up.

I’m using this fountain cover to protect a 42” H pedestal fountain and a 32” H wall fountain, and there’s plenty more room to cover other items, as the photo shows. It’s made of what seems to be a sturdy material with well done stitching, and the two Velcro ties help secure it at the base against strong winds, rain or snow. It also has a convenient vent to air the interior and prevent mold.

I have a large patio umbrella, that did not come with a cover. I end up having to roll my umbrellas up in a tarp over winter when we're not using them, as the sun is very hard here on anything outside. By this time in winter, the tarps are beginning to disintegrate and umbrella fabric is beginning to show fading and this umbrella was no exception. Being it's my favorite to use over my grill area, I didn't want it ruined after only one summer of use. So when I saw this fountain cover, I realized it might be a great cover for the larger umbrella. It is a heavy duty canvas type material, and is waterproof. It fits well even thought it's not a fountain. I was able to shorten the elastic strap enough to pull it tightly around and clip the buckle to hold it on tightly. I will be using this in summer as well to cover it whenever it is not being used. It looks like it will last for several years and protect my favorite umbrella.

I was expecting basically a version of a cheap popup camping tent. I was pleasantly surprised to find this fountain cover to be well-made. The material is thick and doubled with a smooth reflective surface on the inside. A plastic "lid" is built into the top to keep the upper surface flat. This very keenly prevents it from gathering puddles during the rain. the strong rope built into the bottom seam performs the same function. Firmly secures the fabric in place tucked under the fountain so you don't have to worry about it flying off or those pesky pools of rainwater. Make sure and check the measurements as it was almost too small to fit my large garden fountain.d

I selected the fountain cover to ensure there would be enough coverage for a 40 inch waterfall fountain that is up on a 24 inch pedestal. This cover is perfect.The product description states that it is 50 inches high, and that is correct if you only measure from the bottom to right before the domed top. That's a bonus. Basically the top of the cover is not included in the 50 inch measurement, so if your fountain has a narrow peak there is about 5-10 more inches in coverage (see image).The adjustable elastic band with buckle is approximately 20 inches up from the bottom, and and is reinforced by additional material where it is sewn onto the cover. There is also a non-elastic drawstring with locking toggle at the bottom. These connection points will keep your cover from flapping too much in the wind or blowing off the fountain.Overall the features of this product were well thought out, and due to the material quality I expect it will last for many seasons.

This is a very large gray/black cover for my 4 tier fountain. The material is not thick and padded, but thin and has a silver lining that when I received I had to separate from sticking to itself, but that is no big deal. The cover is definitely large enough for my fountain. The key here is to completely drain your fountain first, then put the cover on to prevent water from pooling in it and it freezing and warming over and over. For my fountain in the southeast, I think this would be fine for just that purpose. It does have a drawstring to tie it, but I could see that if the wind catches it the fabric is thin enough to "pool" in the tiers and then get water in it. The bottom really needs to be weighted to stay "taught". It will work for our mild winters here, but consider all of this if you live in a harsher climate.

Needs some breaking in to get a proper fit, especially the skirt drawstring. The knot binding the rope was right next to the push button drawstring cincher. This means you can really only pull one side of the rope to tighten as the knot will not pass through the cincher. Since the fabric is new it bunches up very fast making either tightening or relocating the knot onto the other side very frustrating and challenging.That said, if you suffer through it once you'll be fine next time. The middle buckle cinching strap is made of bungee. Not sure how long that material will last in the elements. Would've loved for it to tighten up more to prevent the wind from sailing this cover off in a storm, but we'll just have to see how it fairs.
