Foto&Tech’s soft release buttons are made of solid brass with a concave surface. This allows an easy, manual press at the top of your camera. It comes with 2 pieces of soft metal shutter release button. To install, simply attach the soft release button onto the threaded shutter release socket of your camera. After locking it in, enjoy clicking away with our soft easy shutter release buttons. Besides the shutter release buttons, it comes with rubber O-rings to fit other cameras, specifically compatible with Fujifilm X series camera. For other brands that do not need the rubber O-ring, you can add a small piece of Teflon Thread seal tape (not included) on the button screw. It will keep the shutter button to stay still on the camera. Note: It also fits other cameras with a standard threaded shutter release socket which is designed by the camera manufacturers to accept a mechanical shutter release cable. Don't bother with this for a Fuji X100V. They will fall off very quickly even with thread lock tape on.

This is advertised to fix the X100V but does not. It is the wrong thread type and doesn't thread in properly, which could potentially damage the threads in the camera. It will secure itself with friction when it bottoms out in the shutter, but comes loose very easily. I ordered a different shutter button from JJC and it fits properly. I can't vouch for other cameras or manufacturers, but avoid this if you have an X100V.

I bought the gold color and am happy with my choice! Each shutter button comes with a little rubber grommet in case your camera needs it— mine did not need the grommet. I like that it appears to be made of brass, it feels good when I use it and it screwed on very easily. It does feel lightweight, but for the price, I’m not mad about it. I have an old Canon A1 film camera and this fits well!

I’ve been a photographer for a very long time. I’ll admit that I like the look of these brass beauties but I bought them for function—the concave top seems to make for solid stable control of the shutter. And the *gasket* is something I haven’t seen accompany these “soft triggers” or whatever they’re calling them these days until recently.Let me tell you: the gasket makes all the difference in *retaining* the brass accessory.Imagine… you just spent ~$9k on a Leica M and another $5-13k for glass and then you buy a strap and a grip and a some accessories and arg!!! Your soft trigger you bought got loose and is missing !!!Even though the cost is teacups in the ocean of the expenditure you’ve made for your silly hobby (or your profession—if you’re lucky/crazy enough to make photography your profession) it is aoooooooo frustrating to lose your shutter button. Whether it’s a red one or a black one or in this case, a brass one… there’s something so so so frustrating when you’re walking around doing for instance, street photography, see the perfect shot coming together, reach for your camera and discover that you’ve lost your soft touch trigger thingy!So really it’s the little o-ring gasket that makes this product so great. I love the brass, too. It reminds me of wearing through black parts of one of my cameras I had when I was a teenagerSo maybe it’s part se time sentimentality, part o-ring retention functionality. But I’ll be using o-rings on all my cameras with shuttertrigger accessories from now on. Happily recommend.

Made of metal, has a nice feel and shine. Fits my Canon AE-1 Program. Comes with o-ring for other camera bodies, don’t need it for mine.

Nicely built, fits on my Fuji X-E1 shutter button. I could not get the button threaded with the small “O” ring on the shaft.
