This Auto Macro Extension Tube is an automatic tube that communicates all electronic functions from the lens to camera, including auto-focus and auto-exposure. Macro extension tubes are a wonderful alternative to expensive macro lenses. By placing distance between your camera body and lens, focusing distance is shortened and the effect of magnifying your subject is created. Because no optical components are added into this extension tube, the image preserves the original optical properties of the lens. Macro extension tubes are an affordable and simple way to turn any existing lens into a macro lens.Select L-Mount Alliance Mirrorless Cameras - Popular models include:* Leica T (Typ 701), SL (Typ 601), CL, TL, TL2* Leica SL, SL2, SL2-S* Panasonic Lumix S1, S1R, S1H, S5* Sigma fp, fp LNotes:* Extension tubes work best with short to medium focal lengths, they are less effective with telephoto lenses* Extra magnification also magnifies camera shake as well as the subject, tripod use is recommended* Be sure to use the smallest aperture (largest number) on your lens to give you adequate depth-of-field for better quality images* Different lens lengths will require a different distance to be used from the subject, if the subject is not in focus move the camera closer or further from the subject until the subject comes into focus* The effectiveness of extension tubes decreases as focal length increases. You will need to be careful when working with extreme wide-angle lenses as the focusing distance required may be closer to the lens than physically possible (ie you'd hit the front lens element before you achieve focus)* All pictures are for illustration purposes only. Actual product may vary slightly due to ongoing improvements in design.

Fits perfectly on lens and camera. The quality is also really good.

I had first gotten the Viltrox L-mount pair of extension which are very light but also made of flimsy feeling plastic with some light metal parts. I do not trust them with heavier lenses, for example the Sigma 105mm macro and larger lenses. Kenko makes famously robust extension tubes but does not make them for L mount. Despite scant reviews, I took a chance on the Fotodiox Pro and am very pleased with their quality. it's exactly what I was looking for. I got both the 35mm and the 15mm.These things are heavy and the build quality seems even more robust than the Kenko tubes I have for M4/3. To compare, the plastic Viltrox pair (24mm + 12mm) come in at 70g. Just the 35mm Fotodiox Pro is 150g, more than double the weight of the Viltrox pair.AF works. The flanges, buttons, and hardware are all heavy duty metal and well polished. The durability remains to be seen but I would count on it given how weighty it is and how tight the tolerances are. The only downside is the weight. The 35mm + 15mm pair comes in at 244 grams which makes it almost as heavy as some smaller L mount lenses. If you want tubes for smaller lenses, don't need extreme durability, and/or low weight is desired, the less expensive, much lighter Viltrox may be the better choice. If you are using heavier lenses or want something that will survive hard and frequent use, and don't mind some extra weight, these are the ones.
