I'm not an expert in low voltage actuators and such, but I'm trying to make a hidden compartment that opens via remote. In my reading, a linear actuator is probably going to be what I need to use. I'm not sure how to make one of those work, but fortunately someone does and they made one of these things. This is a learning experience for me, but this seems like it is going to work well for me. The installation is pretty simple to make everything function as it should.

Functions as advertised. No glitches. No issues.Hubby is using it to control a window in an outbuilding on our farm. He's very satisfied. He has set up a security camera to oversee whether this switch works reliably, and he gives it two thumbs up.

As the title says, I have no complaints for the price. Follow the basic diagram on the front of the unit for basic setup and you are off to the races. This is nothing I would consider industrial rated by any means but for basic projects or really anything 12/24 volt as long as it isn't getting sprayed with liquids this should do the trick for basic forward/reverse operations.

I purchased this remote control switch to install on my trailer for use with my winch. The idea is to make it easier to load my SxS, should it be broken down, onto the trailer while being inside to steer at the same time which would allow me to load it alone.Although I haven’t hooked it up yet, it looks like it’s exactly what I need. This remote should allow me to control the winch in both directions without having to manually operate the lever on top of the winch. The 165-foot range is more than enough for my application, and I would think most applications. This seems like a great product for anyone needing remote control of any motor or actuator, and I’m looking forward to putting it to use!

This worked well for a project I had going on. I used this in conjunction with a door lock actuator to create a noise/movement deterrent to keep away an obnoxious mockingbird. At the distance I was controlling the actuator (about 50 ft) it worked flawlessly though it really didn't do much to keep away the mockingbird.

I was given an actuator from an old driveway gate opener without any controls and electronics. The mechanics and the motor were very good and all I needed was a way to remotely open/close the actuator. This was very easy to incorporate, and it is working now well in my application.

I installed this on my RV to allow me to remotely extend and retract my awning. The instructions were simple and easy to follow and understand. It is supposed to be rated for 10 amps. My current draw when closing/retracting the awning is about 7 amps. So far, all is working well. The electrical terminals worked well with the 12 gauge stranded wire…although it was a bit of a tight fit! This is a very small unit and it fit easily behind the wall where my existing switches are located. Mine came with batteries for both remotes…and the remotes do NOT use the same battery! While I can’t speak to the longevity, for now, I am very pleased! Thanks!MY PERSONAL COMMENTS:I am an approved Amazon Vine Member. We are provided the opportunity to order (free of charge) many items that are new to the market, or where a seller just wants some additional exposure for their product. We are NOT required to review every item in exchange for using it. I personally only order products that are important to me (and/or my wife), items I can use or items that I have the ability to properly test (I have lots of test equipment). So, from that use/testing I can provide an honest evaluation & review (and not always a 4 or 5 star) based upon my use and testing of the product.
