We needed something on our deck to measure the rainfall. This does the job no matter how bad the wind blows. The only negative thing is that the gnome’s left hand partially covers the tube measurement.

It's a gnome rain gauge, gauge is glued to gnome and I mounted the gnome in a way that would be complicated to unmount to empty, but was able to twist gauge carefully and break glue bond so now I can empty the gauge while gnome stays mounted.

I’ve had 2! The first one I bought in the pandemic. He did a good job but have so long his paint gradually came over. Probably from our heat as well as rain. (I’m in Texas!) I recently replaced him. He always brings a smile to my face and works hard to catch the rain! Local news rarely announce how many inches of rain we got but I can count on my gnome!😀
