Nice little hobby set. Work nice for occasional use, and the price is nice. Don't expect Pro quality bits that you can use on an ongoing basis.

Tools are great. Just a bit difficult to take it out from the tight hole, and the wood box seems quite fragile.

I read the reviews from several purchasers of this set who complained about chipped teeth and the apparently poor quality control. But I also saw that other reviewers seemed to be happy with their purchases so, for the price, I thought I'd take a chance. I really only needed the 1 3/8 inch bit to meet a deadline and wasn't sure how soon I might ever have a need for that size again. Figured I'd try to keep the project cost down by picking up this set but that was clearly a mistake. Six of the eight bits in this set came with broken teeth. If all eight had been broken (and if I didn't already own a few Fisch forstner bits) I might have thought these were intentionally designed to be this way. But two of them looked okay (the smallest and the largest bits in the set) so I could see no reason for the inconsistency other than sheer bad workmanship. When I opened the box the bits were dislodged from their storage slots and all grouped together in one end of the box as though they had experienced a lot of jostling around. However, I didn't find any fragments inside the box or in the little plastic bags they're wrapped in so I'm pretty sure the damage must have occurred before they were ever packaged - almost like whoever was grinding them was hurrying through the process to get their piece count up. Don't waste your time or money on this. It's just plain bad. Giving it one star for those who might need some scrap metal delivered to their door.

I have only used one bit so far, it made a nice clean cut in some birch plywood. The wooden box is a nice touch, each bit being separately packed in a small plastic bag. Good value for money.

These bits have a nice solid feel to them and work as advertised. I have only used a couple of them in soft wood so I'm not sure how they fair on anything harder but they seem like they'd get the job done. As a not-even-hobbiest DIYer, these are perfect for my needs.
