make sure you scan it slow across the forehead if its too fast it will detect you as burning like a lava

My grandbabies doesn't like anyone messing with their ears, especially when they're sick. Although I have the option to insert ear piece, I find it easy to place the cap like piece to either the ear or to the forehead. Either way I get a good reading and it's good for both children and adults.

overall, it takes an accurate temp and that's the important thing. it took a few tries to get the whole holding down the scan button and dragging correctly across my forehead (start at center of forehead, drag to temple) at the same time in a hold that felt backward to me, maybe because i'm lefthanded? the tip on the ear scanner doesn't come off so if you're using for multiple people, i'd suggest getting alcohol wipes.

I bought this because I liked the idea of a forehead and in-ear thermometer all in one. However, this product is wildly inaccurate. Using the same method on the same person several times in a row gives completely different results. The first could be a fever temp, and then next one perfectly normal. There’s no way to tell which temp is the correct one. I once tried five times in a row and got different temperatures each time.
