I don't know if it works yet because the M4 screws to attach the gauge to the stand are TOO SHORT. Now it's a trip to the hardware store to purchase longer ones. I bought this for a school project that is now being delayed. I was also disappointed that there was only one claw. This claw is used to hold the end of the member being tested. It would be nice to grip the other end as well. RIght? This was an inexpensive unit and it shows.

This is well built and will hold up to anything I see myself throwing at it. It is prices appropriately according to the market. Purchasing this and a gauge is still less than half the price I see Purchasing the two together. Overall it's a good product at a reasonable price!

The build is sturdy, doesn't feel like it's gonna buckle or anything. Using it's straightforward, didn't have any trouble figuring it out. It's holding up well for the tests I'm runnin. Quality wise, it seems worth what it'd cost. seems reliable with the measurements.

I own a couple of force gauges for different ranges or readings. I made a DIY rig to hold them - same brand, so same footprint. But this only allowed me to measure weighted items. Measuring breaking point was easy, but trigger point, etc. was a bit of a pain. I use the gauges maybe once a week, so I did not want to invest much into a stand. I had the chance to try this one so jumped on it. It's really easy to use and comes fully assembled - just add the gauge. Swapping gauges is a bit of a task, as installing the gauge requires several mounting screws. The build is almost entirely steel, meaning it's heavy and durable. The gear ratio on the hand-wheel allows for detailed and accurate readings - one rotation is 4mm in movement.I'm not an engineer - I just do a LOT of DIY and, reviews and repairs. I use the force gauges to calibrate some repairs and when testing items, and this stand makes it a lot easier.

The quality is great the only thing is you have to purchase the gauge separately so without that this is basically a display piece. I would recommend this but make sure you know what you are getting

Yes, I should have read the description more completely. Looking at it again I now see where the force gauge is an option. This does NOT come with the force gauge - rendering it nearly useless. It's made well but without the gauge - what's the point?I now plan on using a fish weighing scale to get an estimate of what is going on but that's what I was doing before getting this.Really disappointing this didn't come as a complete package. Makes me wonder why they sell it as an incomplete kit?No way can I recommend this.
