I have tried so many different door chimes for my business and was so sick of replacing batteries or not having a bell loud enough to hear or one that kept ringing from the door closing. This chime is PERFECT! It is just loud enough without being too loud. No batteries!! Easy install and looks seamless being black on my black framed door.

The EZ-TONE Magnetic Chime For Out-Swing Doors and In-Swing is a great solution for an office or business and adds an extra layer of protection for working in back and not within view of the doorway. It was easy to install, the sound is loud enough for a large building but not too loud when near the front of the building. One huge benefit is there is no electric or batteries needed unlike our previous model that stopped working.

I purchased this item after reading the positive reviews about it. Needless to say I was very disappointed when I received the item, installed it, and discovered that it was far quiter than the product description and reviews led me to believe. I purchased the item for a client's convenience store to notify him of customers entering the store. The cash register / sales counter is only about 20 feet from the door and the cashier could barely hear the chime. If he happened to be in the office directly behind the sales counter it was impossible to hear. I have returned the item. If you need a moderately loud alert chime you may want to consider a different item.

Need an inexpensive door alarm/announcer? I have purchased MANY electronic door announcers and all have failed. Too much work replacing batteries, adjusting sensors etc.. The EZ Tone is a great, simple, hassel-free device that takes about 15 minutes to install and forget about it! No batteries, no adjusting and NO PROBLEMS! The bell is a simple tone-bar that is magneticall struck each time the door is opened. The bell tone is loud enough but not so loud that it scares my customers when they open the door. Honestly, youu can't go wrong with this device and you will never have to worry about replacing batteries again! I've read that some buyers say the bell is not loud enough, please read the instructions. You can adjust the volume very easily by placement and inside adjustments. I had to turn ours down because it was too loud! I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a inexpensive and reliable door announcer.
