First of all, I just wanna say that the replacement screen fit perfectly. The only downside is that the touch ID button will not work anymore for fingerprint opening. It still works to take you back to the home screen or open up the screen, but you still have to put a password in. Wish I would have known that before buying, but it is what it is. And the other thing is, it does not seem as crystal clear as the factory screen that came with the iPad, but what do you expect for $20?

Quick delivery. Easy to replace. Works great! I just wish I knew about saving the home button from the original display in order to use Touch ID. The free extended warranty is a nice added value. Also be sure to heat up the adhesive to make removal of old screen easier. The pre installed adhesive strips were golden!

I had completely shattered my iPad screen and was pleasantly surprised at how affordable this replacement was. It arrived super fast and the kit had everything I needed to for the swap out. The instructions were easy to follow. The hardest part was digging out all the broken glass from the old one.Here's the negative and why I want others to read this: I broke this new screen while sticking it to the frame of the iPad. I think there was a little bit of the old glass I didn't get cleaned out and that's all it took. New screen, fresh crack all the way through. NOTICE THAT I STILL GAVE THIS FIVE STARS!! This is my fault, not the fault of the item. Learn from my mistake. Clean up thoroughly and don't rush. It's still glass and you have to treat it gently. Or take it to a nerd friend that can change it out for you. I'll probably end up ordering another one to try it again.

As stated, home button fingerprint recognition not available with the new home button. There are you tube videos on how to transfer your original home button. Also I do recommend having a hairdryer to help loosen the adhesive as you go. I did not do this step and wish I had.This kit does not come with the adhesive gasket/seal needed to secure your new screen on. You either have to really preserve your old seal or purchase separately (I recommend going ahead and purchasing this piece). It is difficult to not damage the old strip while removing your old screen.

I decided to buy this kit to fix the screen on my ipad 6th gen. I watched a youtube video and followed the steps. Removing the glass, disassembly, and reassembly were not the problem in my assessment of the product. The kit came with all the tools needed for this. My problem would be with the quality of the glue and glass needed to repair my ipad. During the reassembly, the last process is to remove the film over the glue film. This glue film might as well be a piece of tape. It was barely even sticky. Which leads to my next problem. I had to keep trying to press around my ipad an the glass to get it to stay closed (which is still not the case) and then the next problem. The pressure of me securing the glass to the edge of my ipad, and boom, the glass cracks. Being me I thought it was a faulty glass. I contacted amazon and they sent another replacement free of charge. So then I did everything again once the new kit came. And guess what? The exact same thing happened...so unless I have some kind of super strength, the fact that the mere pressure of my finger is breaking the glass, what does that say about using the ipad later down the road..will the glass crack when i am using it to play a game that requires my touch or me using the ipencil to write...needless to say i will be returing this one and trying a different brand. up to you if you want to chance it, at this point i am super discouraged. amazon customer service was great, it was the product itself that was super dissappointing.
