This is the best scale I've ever found, so why only four stars? I've been looking for an upgrade for my kitchen scale for two years. During that time I have checked out descriptions and reviews of dozens of scales and rejected every one for the same two fatal flaws. I would rate every one of them 3 stars or lower. First, they all had rediculously small characters for the units ( g, oz. etc.). This scale has somewhat larger units characters that I can see without a magnifier. That earnned it a star Second, virtually all of them have auto shut-off after a short time of non-use. This is extremely irritating if you are in the middle of wieghing something and have to stop to open another package or for any reason. The scale turns off and you have to empty your bowl into another bowl, re-tare the bowl and transfer the ingredient back to the first bowl before you can continue. I am old but I'm not senile. I can remember to turn things off when I'm done. In fact, since I only use a scale occasionally I think it's a good idea to remove the batteries when not in use in case of battery leakage' This scale has auto shut-off and did not earn the fifth star for that reason. This scale is intuitive to use except maybe for the pcs function which I will never use. At first I was a bit annoyed that the light on the display turns off so quickly even though I knew it saves the batteries, but then I found that a light tap on the weigh surface turns the light back on. For me, this is the best scale on the market but it could definitely be improved.

The main reason for loving this scale is the fact that the screen is separated from the scale. Does not take up any space. I do wish it came in different colors. I store it on a black shelf and I sometimes can’t find it, lol. It is easy to switch from grams to ounces and, so far, it’s very accurate.

I’ve had this scale for a while, but I’m just now getting around to using it. It works really well. It’s lightweight and doesn’t take up a lot of space on my countertop. Glad I finally took it out of the box.

With no glass tray to try to clean under, the scale is flat which makes is easy to keep clean and lowers the risk of getting important parts wet. Upon receiving, I weighed a 3 pound dumbell and it was accurate. Great scale, fun color to boot.

great scale. did not need to look at directions to use it...just started using it and it was so user friendly. i use it 3 plus time a day, as i am on a restrictive diet. it small enough to leave out and looks nice on the counter. However, the area of where you press to start the weighing process is starting to peel. disappointed with that aspect.

I have been wanting a food scale accurate and easy to use and this is the one. I absolutely love it. I have been able to enter the information. The app is good but has room to improve. I am so happy. The hardest thing to decide was the color, I chose the mint color, it just makes me happy and I use it on every meal. Another benefit I have noticed using the balance is that slows me down and even stops my mindless eating. I record every meal before I eat it and that really makes me focus on what I really want to eat rather than eat out of an impulse. It helps me to achieve my macronutrients ratio although I use the app and another app to compare results. My RD told me not to buy a food balance and I understand her point of view for me to not get obsessed and be more practical, I am glad I did it. It really has helped me to learn and be more conscious about what I am eating and found is very therapeutic to measure each item, probably is not the same to everybody else but works great for me. Don’t doubt it, just order it.

This is a great food scale. It is smaller than I expected but don't let that fool you. I love the color and portability. It accurately weighs foods, drinks, ingredients, etc. & has a tare button. The app is simple to use, ust download the Fooddiet app & get started. Easy Peasy! I highly recommend the Uramaz Smart Kitchen Scale.

I was looking for scales to accurately measure small quantities between 5 and 15g. It achieves that with excellent repeatability; weighing the same item 10 times consecutively the measurement varied by a maximum of 0.02gSome reviews I have read people say the display is erratic, wandering up and down or not responding to additional weight being added, I have not experienced this although my wife has but she had omitted to remove the clear plastic cover which fits snugly over the weighing platform. It is such a good fit that I can easily understand how that happened and wonder if other people have done the same. In contrast the other clear plastic lid which covers the entire scale is a very loose fit and it is obvious that it has to be removed.I don't believe it is intended for weighing large quantities as the scales are very small, as such it shouldn't it be expected to replace ordinary kitchen scales but rather to work alongside. Criticisms in this respect are I feel a little harsh and purchasers would do well to read all the details before buying and all the instructions after buying ... well that's what I told my wife before she wandered off to watch Worzel "Mumble, grumble".In summary and in complete contrast to most job applications the scales do work well on their own and also in a team.

Davvero un gioiellino, ben fatta, curata nei dettagli e nelle finiture, esteticamente molto gradevole anche il colore blu del led, dimensioni davvero contenute ma non manca nulla. Comprensiva di pesetto per la taratura e di due coperchietti in plastica dalla doppia funzione di protezione e, utilizzati al contrario, di contenitore dei prodotti da pesare. Proprio carina

L'ho preso per pesare alimenti in cucina di cui le dosi medie sono sotto i 50 gr. Ecco perchè ho scelto il bilancino con la pesata max a 300 gr. Facile all'uso, dotato di peso standard per la taratura. Lo uso per pesare, lieviti freschi e secchi, sale, zucchero ecc ecc in dosi modeste. E' ovvio che se uno dovesse pesare liquidi o farine di peso prossimo alla portata massima non è consigliato. E' dotato di scala dei valori anche per once e altre unità di misura . Lo consiglio senz'altro.

These scales are very well designed and for their low price, very accurate.I bought the 500g/0.01g version with the 100g calibration weight. My photo shows what you get in the box: trays of different sizes, AAA batteries, the 100g calibration weight and the scales themselves. When not in use, the two trays neatly fit over the measuring platform and the whole device, meaning it is protected from bumps and scratches in a kitchen drawer, for example.They are very easy to use; just turn on and place something on the measuring surface. The screen updates several times per second, so there's no delay while the reading settles down. The units are selectable: grams and ounces; Troy ounces/Pennyweight for precious metals; and Grains for specialist uses such as weighing gunpowder.It measures the 100g calibration weight at exactly 100.00g as expected, and also a 10g calibration weight from another set of scales at exactly 10.00g. Moving the weight to the corners of the measuring plate, there is a variation of 0.04g which is only 0.004% of the total reading. Extremely good for non-scientific scales at such a good price!Another useful feature is its counting ability. You calibrate it by putting a known quantity of items onto the plate, then it will count any number of them (up to the maximum weight). You can see in my photo that I calibrated it with 25 lentils, then added five more; it shows 30 on the display. You could use this to measure bags of coins, nuts and bolts, etc. Or lentils :-)To use this function:* place the tray (or other container) onto the scales and zero them by pressing T ("tare").* put 25 (or 50, 75 or 100) items onto the tray. The scales will show their weight.* Press and hold the PCS ("pieces") button until it shows 25. To change to 50, 75 or 100, press the M key.* Press PCS again. The display shows the number of items on the scales.* Add more items and the scales will count them.I use these for weighing small quantities of ingredients in cooking and beer brewing. They are really easy to use and far more accurate than I need.
