I love this fondue set. I used it for Chrstmas. Just put some melting Chocolate in the metal bowl and place it on the heat plate. It heats slowly and evenly, it has 2 settings, the first to do the initial heat up so it happens faster, once everything is melted you just switch it over to "warm". I have no complaints, I love this thing.

This Fondue set is quite nice and handy. It comes with six dipping sticks and It was super easy to set up. Simply choose your dipping foods and put those in the three compartments surrounding the center bowl, then put melting chocolate (or cheese) in the center, then plug it in and choose your temperature to heat it up. The dial on the side allows you to choose low, medium and high heat. I found that the medium temp was ample for chocolate, and it only took about 10 minutes or so for it to melt. My family absolutely loved hovering around this set, dipping and enjoying chocolate-coated snacks with delight. The kids especially loved it. Here's a tip: We found that kids wanted to put their mouths on the prongs of the stick, biting the dipped food items like using a fork, which is not good, especially when they go back to dip another piece of food. So we opted to give kids toothpicks rather than the sharp sticks, and had them toss the toothpicks after each bite so they don't cross-contaminate. This worked great!Overall, I really do like this fondue set. However, I am docking one star from my rating because the center dish has a very sharp metal edge and I nearly sliced my hand while washing it. I wish the manufacturer had rolled the edge of the center bowl to prevent this from happening. Users will need to be careful when handling the metal bowl.
