These little gems will definitely hold your phone on your car dash. Or your mouse on your laptop, which is what I got them for. Or just about anything you want to hold in place - they are just that sticky! They actually pulled the little feed off my mouse when I picked it up. See photo lol! Had to giggle. I put them back on and used my palms to de-stick the surface a good bit. The longer you use them, the less sticky they are, and a rinse in plain water will bring back the tack. I love these for this purpose. Holds my vape pen, writing pen, and my mouse when I want to set the lappy aside or down, and in the car, I use similar pads to hold my Kindle, iPad Mini, or my phone when I need to set it down temporarily when I'm not the driver. I wouldn't use them for a regular book, though. They would damage it for sure. Use care in selecting what you set on them. They are definitely that sticky! No paper or other similar, delicate or susceptible items.
