The forceps work great and are very sturdy. I was in need of a tool that would help with feeding my snakes without placing my hands next to the strike zone. They work great and hold the food in place very well. It might not be what the tool was designed for, but it works very well.

I use these to feed my snakes and had some much trouble finding a long pair that still held the rat well. These work perfect!!

Okay - I'm not a surgeon, and don't need forceps for any kind of veterinary work. I have an old house with some nooks and crannies that even my long fingers can't reach. I also have a son who loves to drop things, like earrings and other small objects into these nooks and crannies. These are long, sturdy and lock. Great grabbers, and highly recommended - at least for this application.
