We used the 1” foam to replace the padding in our Lane chest which has to be 37 years old. We measured twice and cut once with a little trim needed on the corners.

BUY THIS!!!It is a SUPERIOR product.I had ordered a 4-inch thick mattress...(trying to save money!) and I happily received: a 5-inch thick mattress!!It was 30 inches wide; and 10 pounds in weight!!You KNOW that it is: 'substantial'!When it arrived, it was: SO COMPRESSED....and rolled/wrapped-up in YARDS-OF plastic stretch-film...that it was actually 'FUN'...to unwind it; to reveal the TRUE SIZE!!!UNBELIEVABLE.IT LITERALLY: "SPRANG-INTO-LIFE"...in a few SECONDS!!I AM TOTALLY IMPRESSED.It is firm; yet it will be perfect for my use, as a mattress.Yikes.What a pleasure.BUY IT.IF YOU NEED A BED!!!
