This has made painting older metal yard fence so much easier! The metal rods are close together so I needed a small roller. The handle is very ergonomic. Been using it several days now and is rolling consistently. Also bought replacement sponges, same brand, and they work great as well. Easy to clean.

It is hard to find this size roller and refills in retail stores, but it is the right size for so many uses, especially woodwork molding trims and tight spaces. I wish the finish was a little smoother but a quick touch up brushing solves that problem and is easier than trying to put down the paint evenly by brush alone.

I used it to paint the non sprayed edge of ceiling. Easy to use and did an amazing job.

I used this foam roller in 2016 to roll paint on exterior doors to my home. The doors were a metal surface so this foam roller was perfect for getting a nice, smooth finish. In fact, I ended up using this roller on my wooden pillars (outside) to achieve a smooth finish on those as well. So, recently (2018), I was trying to purchase something "similar" to this product in one of the home improvement stores, and the product/foam roller I purchased there was awful! Therefore, I am looking at reordering this FoamPRO roller instead because it worked really well! And of notable mention, the last time I bought this FoamPRO roller, in 2016, it was $12.99. Huge price difference now at $3.39 (in 2018).***Update*** December 3, 2018I do like this FoamPRO roller; however, I decided to purchase a flocked foam roller to compare the painting results with this FoamPRO roller. I will see which one gives a smoother finish.****Updated 11/ 14 / 2020 *****I realized that I didn't return to discuss the comparison. After using this foam roller and comparing with fabric, napped (3/8 up to 1/2), or flocked type roller, I would say they all performed about the same with proper technique and by using multiple coats with very, very light sanding in between (for the absolute smoothest finish). That said, this foam roller is great for metal/smooth door surfaces. And, I painted a total of 3 doors to compare the results. I think the only way to get it smoother (like factory smooth finish) would be use a sprayer, but that is another topic all together! And, it boils down to preferences, equipment available, and cost. Therefore, this roller produced good results overall. Cheers!

this is well built but here is the problem, the end of the post that inserts into the roller is BLUNT which makes it more difficult than it has to be to insert post into roller...most post ends are rounded for easy insertion... this blunt end also causes roller covers to fail because it forces the sizer inside the roller to dislodge [ this is what secures post to roller ] rendering the roller cover useless...great little tool, major design flaw... i took a file and rounded off the blunt end... this has helped resolve the issue.
