When loaded with paint, the roller was too heavy and broke my extension rod while I was rolling down the wall. I liked the coverage but won't buy again since the weight is too much.

No packaging, but maybe Purdy need to use better quality metal frames!With not being able to buy pole adapter’s in the uk & USA fading them out? It doesn’t put users in a good position ✌️

The short version: Put a little cooking oil on the ends of this roller frame and on the ends of the inside of your roller cover to help it go on and come off a bit easier, and it'll work for you.The long version: Like many other reviewers, I found that this roller doesn't quite fit standard 14" roller covers properly. Some people found it was too loose, but I'm in the camp that found it was too tight. My roller frame wasn't so big that I couldn't get the roller cover on at all, but I did have a hard time getting the cover to go on and a hard time removing it once I was ready to clean it. Solution: Put a little cooking oil on the ends of this roller frame and on the ends of the inside of your roller cover, and it'll work for you if you're having a hard time with insertion and removal. A note of caution--don't oil it so much that oil oozes out and onto the roller cover or into your paint tray. Also, be sure to oil it before every use for best result.Would I buy this roller frame again? Probably not. I've bought frames from Purdy's major competitor that work wonderfully with no problem. But clearly, this frame isn't so bad that I wanted my money back, and I don't see any reason not to keep it and use it.
