Hot knife works fine. Way better than the cheapo stuff they sell at discount tool stores. Two thumbs up.

Bought this to cut some XPS foam for a van build - even at the highest setting it struggled to cut XPS. The second time I went to use, it stopped working entirely. Outside of the 30 day return window, a waste of $80. Very low quality :(

I used it to cut 80 panels out of 8 4x8 sheets of 1” foam and it cut the last one as good and as fast as the first one. The best part is that the tool is still like brand new. Definitely worth the cost of buying the right tool for the right job! You won’t be disappointed

This too sure does its job. We're turning our 120-gal acrylic fish tank into a bearded dragon tank so we have to create vents in the sides and cut out a reservoir that is built into the tank. If you take your time and let the tool do the cutting it works beautifully. I gave 4 stars because nothing is perfect, its a slow process.

Insulation my workshop with 2" foam and this works perfect to cut the pieces I needed in between the framing. The only thing is it's hard to cut strait because of the nature of the foam, but straits cuts are achievable using a strait edge as a guide. The cord isn't short, but could be a little longer. I recommend.
