It fit my helmet perfectly. I use it just as a display piece. I wouldn't use this in a real tactical situation. I also wouldn't mount real night vision goggles to it except for display

If you are looking for a low cost NVG mount for different sports or activity related tasks. This mount looks very nice and is made from some kind of composite material. I'm very happy with this Airsoft Quality NVG Mount.

So I recently became interested in setting up a helmet for night "work". Nothing tactical, no paintball/airsoft. Only much more sedate use with no "running and gunning". Instead I want to go out nights late summer to mid fall to spy on the deer on my property with a monocular IR or Thermal helmet mounted viewer. Just slow walks to avoid spooking them. So this will not see the dynamic loads that it might if used for more aggressive situations where I fully expect they would not survive and would likely fail at the worst possible moment. Realizing that these still might be liable to break if inadvertently knocked I will certainly tie in anything attached via this shroud.As such I'm very happy with this and confident it will give me the performance and durability I hope for. When not in use it will be in a bag in my closet so even degradation from sunlight will not be a concern for the nylon. This does not seem to be a glass filled nylon which would make it stronger, but again that is not a concern to me.So even if these fulfill my expectations before breaking every few years and I keep buying more such cheap units I'll still be dollars ahead compared to buying a more durable top end shroud. It's all about suiting the equipment to your mission. This fits mine and I recommend it for anyone else with a similarly less demanding application.

The headline is pretty much the review. I have a NV optic that claimed L4G24 NVG mount compatibility. I ordered this and was very pleased when it arrived. Nicely finished, seems amazingly stout and yet very light.My device was not compatible. Checked into it and the optic's claim is wrong. I cannot use it at present, but that is a shame as it appears to be 1st-rate kit.

Good value, very realistic, seems fairly strong, it is a cast design. Seems to fit most mounts, holes line up to helmet too. Great for movie prop or display piece.

Easy to install after figuring out the center of helmet. Tho was apprehensive about drilling through the ballistic. Fits good, solid so far, easily holds a double tube pvs14 with bridge. Bungies are nice and tight and I like how they clip on up and out of the way when not in use.The added aluminum plate makes for a no flex mount.

This fit perfectly on my helmet and came with everything you need to set it up. I have gotten other FMATAL products and every time they exceed my expectations. This is a great option, fits well, the attachment that I connected to this works great and feels durable and secure so that I don;t have to worry about it out on the field. This is something that I will and have recommended to some of my friends and people that enjoy the soft air.
