The needle unfortunately broke within 2 weeks of near every day use, so it cannot screw into the top of the hammer anymore. Also, while this may not be specific to this brand of hammer versus Buck hammers in general (as I have not used other Buck hammers), it just is too lightweight that I end up applying more force to elicit deep tendon reflexes. I ended up going back to the Tromner reflex hammer, which I feel has a better weight distribution.

I returned it to UPS the day it came in the mail. That's how upset I was about this product. The pin & brush are cheaply made. The pin is dull at the end when it should have a fine point. You can't do neurological testing with a dull point...it makes no sense. The brush had bristles that reminded me of the same bristles you find on car tire brushes. They were not soft at all! I tried the brush on my arm and it left a scratch mark. I wish I was exaggerating, but I'm not. I don't write many reviews but if I have received a product this terrible I make the effort to write a review in hopes someone will learn from my mistake of purchasing this product.

It is a good reflex hammer and the accessories like the needle and brush are a nice add on, but it is a little smaller than what I was expecting.
