Head: The balance-weighted head is outfitted with large and small mallets constructed of TPR for precise percussions. Handle: The ergonomic chrome-plated brass handle, featuring a diamond-textured grip, is precisely balanced for increased control of percussion force. Babinski Tip: The pointed Babinski-style tip at the base of the handle elicits superficial or cutaneous responses, including plantar and abdominal reflexes. Brush: The built-in brush at the base of the handle can be easily removed to elicit cutaneous reflexes.

Very usable, well put together, seems solid, but is a bit small. And a bit light. I wish it were heavier, but honestly this would do very well as a replacement for the Taylor style hammers our students often carry.I don't use the brush unless I am in the mood for sharing cutaneous flora between patients. Which is never.

This is a good basic hammer if that is all you need. The two bulb heads do not screw off or hold any other tools. The bottom of the handle has a point you can use if needed.
