Hardest part was removing my 25 year old original exhaust... the pipes held up well, but the muffler had holes in it and wouldn't pass inspection.Once the old one was off, it was very straight forward to install. I cleaned up the old pipe attaches to the new system with a red scotchbrite pad.The system was packaged well, no damage to the outer box. The inner box that held the muffler was damaged on the ends, but the muffler was fine, it was wrapped in another layer of foam. The hardware bag was torn open, but nothing was missing. The last piece (the tailpiece) I believe was for a vehicle that exited on the other side of the vehicle because the miter was cut backwards... See photo, the "tip" should be on top, the way it is now, rain could land on the tip and roll into the system. At this point, I wasn't going to return it over that. I will probably buy a chrome tip locally and install.I think I hear a buzzing, there might be a small exhaust leak, I will shake it out for a week and tighten the joints again next weekend... or install band clamps if that fails. Only one of the joints had a "saw cut" where it would allow the pipes to collapse better on each other. I thought that was out of the ordinary, they saw fit to do it on one joint, but not all. Hey they are the exhaust experts, who am I? (Mechanical Engineer, who has been a crew chief on a NASCAR team and current product designer for an automotive company)I was hoping for a throatier "Mustang GT" sound, but it sounds about stock...

Muffler inlet was dented and we had to bend it out. Manufacturer welded one of the exhaust hangers was welded too small for the pipe to fit through. Lots of rigging needed. Disappointed for flow master.

Some of the other reviews mentions this not being a complete cat back system, I had no issues going straight from the cat. Single cab with 8’ bed and it fit perfect. Great value for the money and would buy it again. Very easy to install and great quality.

Once everything was sorted out on the the truck end this exhaust was a breeze to install. Parts came together well, fit right into the factory hangers. I give this kit a solid 5/5. I went above and beyond to paint everything with black high temp paint to further attempt to rustproof the exhaust. Noise volume is very quiet in cab and outside has a small but noticeable increase over stock with a much better tone.

I installed this flowmaster exhaust on my 2003 5.4L V8 F-250. The instructions were pretty easy to follow but I ended up looking up some videos on youtube for more detail. Once I got started it only took about three hours to install with the most difficult steps being removing the stock hangar bearings and cutting the tailpipe (not necessary if you have it on a lift and detach the shock). If you are remotely mechanically inclined you can do the install yourself pretty easily and save some money. I didn't weld but used the included clamps which work fine. The tone coming from the flowmaster 70 series is a nice and moderate (can still easily carry a conversation but much deeper than stock). I combined this install with a K&N CAI and a superchips tuner, with all three I noticed significant increases in performance.
