This unit is actually made better than the original Pentair flow and temperature senser. The flimsy metal flow actuator is replaced with a more positive action plastic lever. Two things worthy of note. First is some of the reviews rated poorly for the lack of directions noting that the wires are a different color. Correct there are no instructions included, however installation is pretty straight forward. The original Pentair has 4 wires, RED, BLACK, WHITE and GREEN. This one has RED, BLACK, WHITE and BLUE. When connecting RED goes to RED, BLACK to BLACK, WHITE TO WHITE and GREEN TO BLUE, that simple. Secondly if your handy solder the wires instead of using the crimp connectors that come with the Senser. The wires on the sensers are pretty small and the best was to ensure a trouble-free connection is to solder them. The Senser comes with Teflon tape. Wrap the treads in a clockwise motion 3 to 4 times and then tighten down being sure that the arrow on the top of Senser when installed and tightened is pointing in the direction of water flow. If you have to back the Senser out a bit to have the arrow pointing in right direction just back it out a bit. If you put 3 to 3 wraps of Teflon tape on the threads it will be fine and will not leak.

Push in wire connectors were worthless as the wires are about as think as a few hairs. Worked for about a week and the low flow light is back.....don't waste your money.

The salt cell switch housing failed as can be seen in the pictures (Grey assembly is my old one that I am replacing). As I had to wait for this to arrive, I had shorted the red and black on the salt cell side to indicate that the flow switch was working. There is a risk on doing this, but my salt cell is integral to the easy touch so it had power removed when off. Make sure your pool pump is running correctly and not running dry with this temporary bypass solution or you will damage your cell. The flow switch is a safety feature. The new one did not have the same colors, so I check before install; the blue and red were the flow switch.Installed and working.A few comments, the push button splice joints are great, but you need to turn them over and ensure that the wires are pushed all the way through, and then squeeze down on them. I recommend gentle pressure with a pair of pliers, until the orange cap is seated flush. This ensures a correct bite of the splice through the wire insulation. There is no need to strip the wires before install.I recommend you cut the old one out. Unscrew it. Wrap the new one four to five times with supplied Teflon tape, and screw it hand tight, and then a rotation to align the flow direction with your system. Then make your connections. You do not want to tighten this all the way and then try to align. When looking from the side, there should be a small amount of space such that assembly is not screwed all the way down into the salt cell.

Easy to install. Worked fine. Just not made with sturdy enough stainless. Ordered March 2020 just had to order another July 2020 because the stainless flapper arm broke again

Read this before you replace your entire intellichlor salt cell. My intellichlor 20 was flashing red and green on the top two right and the flow light was red. I replace the float switch I found the flow switch housing that I replaced had a crack in it. The new one worked well just be careful making your connections the wires are very small but it solved the problem without having to purchase an entire salt cell check YouTube

The flow switch replacement was easy to install and solved my issue, an error reading of salt level resulting in failure to produce chlorine. This replacement is clearly inferior quality to the original, but appears to be working fine. I had spoken previously with a Pentair representative that recommended replacement of the flow switch and the rep instructed me to connect only three of the four wires, as the green wire was no longer needed. There were no instructions provided with the replacement flow switch.

Worked great for fixing my Pentair chlorine generator. I bypassed the switch initially to test the flow switch before purchase. Once I took the old flow switch out, it was clearly cracked and not working. Generator kicked on once this was installed.

Worked perfectly. Salt cell was only 2 - 3 months old when the flow switch failed which made the cell inoperative. This was super easy to change and brought the cell back to life. Way better to spend $55 for this than $500 - $600 for a new cell. Delivery was fast.
