it’s very small and quality is very bad the wire is coming out and it hurts your hand. It’s not strong at all . I won’t recommend it . And I am very disappointed. Going to return it. Thanks

I do a lot of fresh milled flour baking, and occasionally I need to sift the bran out. This does sift about half of the bran out, so it is just perfect for my needs! Also, the size is perfect for those of us that don’t have a lot of kitchen storage space. Really well made, stainless steel construction, and dishwasher safe, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase!

Made of very flimsy metal. Bent and dented when arrived.

I have a home grain mill. The bran in the our will cur the gluten and stop the dough from rising well. This is just right for removing the coarse bran. Ok for a single loaf amount. Well enough made.

Sifter arrived with the metal band already bended. The metal is weak so I was able to bend it back into an ok shape. Definitely of less good quality than I expected. However it does the job and sifts the flower from my Komo mill ok.

I had been looking for one that was a little bigger, but this 6 in size actually works fine for me. It sifts through 150-300 gm of freshly milled hard red winter wheat in just a few minutes. I don't need it often, but have found it to be useful for a few recipes. The rim is firm, and the mesh seems to be attached well. Overall it seems well made, not flimsy, and should last years for my limited use.

The sieve is small - adequate for my purposes (sifting flour in small amounts) - but well made and good value for the money. Be sure to check dimensions before choosing which sieve to order.

I started milling my own flour at home several months back, and find this sifter to be pretty essential. Sometimes I like to use a softer, finer flour, and it helps to sift out some of the bran. It's fast, the perfect size, and durable. I really like it and recommend it highly.

I bought this 40 mesh sieve to remove the largest pieces of bran and germ from stone-ground whole wheat flour so I could get a better rise in my (almost) whole wheat loaves. And it works.Yes, this is a small sieve/sifter. And if you overload it, you will get stuck. But when I added a little flour at a time, in less than a minute or two, I had sifted enough for 1 kilo of bread. The bread did rise better than straight stone-ground whole wheat. And I sprinkled the germ and bran over the top of the loaves just before baking, so I didn't waste it. So I'm pleased.

Bought two screens one 40 & the other 60 mesh for sifting freshly ground whole wheat flour to make pastry flour. Both worked great. These appeared hard to find even on amazon and the price was the best I could find. I reserve these for grain flour sifting only and wipe clean with a dry brush/cloth. I would not suggest dish washing. The less water on the the better and there are nooks and crannies it might be very hard to dry out under the pressed metal seal that holds screen in.
