This is an awesome sifter. And the small handheld sifter works great too with confectioners sugar or flour.

This sifter was stated to hold 5 cups. I measured it with 10x sugar and it is closer to 4 1/2 cups. The dimensions are misleading as the diameter included the handle. Who does that. Built well and works great but wasn’t as large as I expected. Disappointed!

Nothing wrong with it; just not thrilled completely with the inside of the base of the sifter. I bought it to have a large sifter. A small remnant remains at the bottom of the base. (it does not all come out easily) but it works pretty well.

I ordered this product in December, but didn't have occasion to use it until yesterday. When I did, the agitator did not make contact with the wire mesh, so the only sifting going on was from gravity; ie, I could shake the sifter, but the actual action of the item was useless. I would like to return it, but because I bought it earlier, there doesn't seem to be a way to accomplish this.

I had to buy 4 shifters before I found this one. All the others did not shift very good or threw the flour out of the top. O e had all the flour get stuck between levels. This one hooks a good amount of flour and shifts nicely. Handle spins easily.

When I received this, the first thing that I noticed was that it looked like it had been opened. Then when I took the flour sifter out, I noticed there was no flour duster which was supposed to be included with this purchase. So I returned the product and asked for a replacement.The replacement product arrived a few days later and though the box was still a bit chewed up, the inside products were both there as they should have been in the first place.The flour sifter does work well. The 5 cup capacity is a nice size for me and because it it stainless steel, it resists rusting (although I still would not put it throught the dishwasher). I never put any of my things in the dishwasher because I find they get ruined, so I had wash everything. That is probably why my things last so well. I hand wash and dry them and they stay looking new and they last so much longer.This is the 2nd flour sifter that I have purchased and it is sturdy and works well for not only flour, but powdered sugar and lots of other dry foods. I am happy with this purchase.
