Not particularly impressive. Might be better if curved a bit. Tight enough you have to open it before you pour which defeats part of the purpose.

Word of advice, drop some wd40 or other type of oil or lube down the top and bottom - and work it in. When you get it its almost impossible to turn open and closed. Adding some lube makes a world of difference. I threw this onto a bottle of chainsaw bar and chain oil. Closed, i can turn it upside down and it wont leak. I’m hoping itll just make it easier to throw some oil in the saws at work and not make a mess inside the utility cabinets on the truck.

Used for chainsaw bar oil. Easy open and close and funnel like spout makes for an easy fill.

Original spout finally broke. Bought it in the late 70's in England. Found this one the day mine broke and had it in a few days. Funny how you get attached to the most silly things.

Other reviews are correct that say these are very difficult to turn. However, I sprayed them with some lubricant, and they now turn just fine. They're still a little stiff, but they loosen up over time. I do wonder if they would have loosened up after having motor oil flow through them. I think it's better for them to be a little too tight than a little too loose. Also, one funnel that I ordered was not assembled correctly. I had to take it apart (by screwing it onto a bottle of oil and pulling up hard on the tube.) I snapped it back on correctly, and now it works fine. After lubricating them and correctly reassembling the one, I have no complaints about this product. I'm not sure what a "standard" bottle of oil is, but they fit fine on our oil bottles (Aeroshell W100), which look to me like standard 1 quart bottles. I also agree that there is no other product out there like this one; we've looked. They used to carry these at Wal Mart, but then they stopped. We were so happy to find them on Amazon. We use them to put oil in our fleet of aircraft at our flight school.

Other reviews range from perfect to trash...I'm guessing this is from multiple molds of varying degrees of wear or utter failure of quality control. Mine is essentially unusable...it requires a great deal of force to turn and I am pretty sure that it is only partially open when it becomes immovable.What little movement I can generate requires a serious death-grip on both ends and I do not think the lower end could be gripped tightly enough if it were on an oil bottle blocking several fingers from reaching the knurled part. If it ever got even a drop of oil on the outside King Kong would not be able to move the parts.The design seems GREAT...I have never found a good equivalent to this, something that extends an oil container and also seals it well. If this thing just turned properly I'd buy 10 of them. Take it back to the tool room and clean up the clearances so it can work!As is, junk. As an idea, great. FIX IT!!
