This feeder worked great for our 5 chicks. I loved the structure of this tray because your chicks will walk over it as theyre exploring, and minimal non-food got inside. Would definitely recommend.

It’s just ok - does the job.The lid is difficult to open or disassemble completely, resulting in feed flying everywhere if you aren’t careful. I also think the holes could be a little bit bigger to allow the chicks to reach the bottom when the food gets low.

It's a chick magnet! As soon as I put it in my brooder they left behind the paper plate I was using temporarily! And it was a better deal than any shop in town!

Had to take off one star because of how hard it was to pull the lid off for refilling.

I’ve read chicks are attracted to the color red. The previous chick feeder I purchased was all galvanized metal. The problem with the metal was that the chicks where getting scrapes and cuts - (they will push each other out of the way or step over each other when eating). With this product being all plastic, and having rounded edges on feeder slots, none of this 2nd batch of chicks have injured themselves. It is easy to clean, and fill, snaps shut, the chicks have no problems finding and eating from it. It is a good purchase and Way more safe and functional then the metal one I used before.
