I did several gas lines. This is as good as the one in the orange box store that begins with "H". It's not as nice as the one that begins with "R" but it gets the job done as well as the "H" and looks exactly like the "H" which might mean the same manufacturer(?). Makes nice flares, no leaks.

Have two mini-split units to install, and after doing my neighbors, found my existing, old unit from my Dad didn't cover 5/8 tubing. This is really a nice upgrade to my older one. People have raised concern about the eccentric operation of the internal tap ram, but it really does a much better job of producing clean, consistent flares on copper tubing. Never felt that confident with what I was producing with my old one but these look great! The locking function on the rail is much improved and sturdier over that on the old fashion ones. The oversized t-nut for the insert press is much nicer than having a wrench or socket to seat the copper.

Worked great. Much better than the compression flare tool that doesn't rotate eccentricity. Would recommend for a perfect flare.

Wenn man den Grat nach dem Schneiden (auch mit einem Rohrschneider).Ich habe den Grat mit einem Senker entfernt und auch nochmal mit Schmirgelpapier kurz nachgeschliffen. Dann gesäubert und gebördelt. Absolut perfekte Oberfläche der Dichtfläche.

Well made & simple to use, which is good since there was no instructions in the box! Gave me professional quality flares on my heating oil lines first try. 24 hours later, no air getting into the line. I'd used a cheap flare tool previously that failed. For the price, this won't let you down!

I had purchased a few of those cheap ones at Harbor Freight and on eBay. Not any more, this thing worked great and far better than I expected.Pros:- Rugged Construction.- Perfect Fit components.- Easy to use.- Has a Clutch to automatically stop the crimp process to prevent over crushing the tube.Cons:- None that I can find.Conclusion:- If you need a quality flare tool that won't break the bank and give you reliable and uniform flares, this is it.- Buy it! I did and I'm very happy with the results.

This is a great value tool for the price tag, I don’t do huge amounts of flares, so I didn’t want to spend loads on a tool, yet at the same time I didn’t want to go too cheap, this is spot on.

Needless to say I was replacing a copper line from my propane tanks...and had to flare the ends. I have had other flaring tools in the past and they were the normal centered style--- this being eccentric didn't really seem to be much of a big deal, but in the end it is a really big deal.Normally I have had to redo ends. Sometimes it would be centered, other times, not so much and caused me to have to redo it. This flaring tool made short work and I practiced once and went right into the flares that I needed to do. Once and done....just the way it should be.Between the almost 1" shaft diameter which makes it more stable, fine threads for easier turning, and the eccentric end that simply walks the flare out as you turn--- then the built in torque limiter kicks in--- now you're done and have a perfect flare.For me the price was right and the quality is also great....happy to add it to my collection of tools.

I saw this style of flare tool at a parts house for 125$, touted by the arrogant salesman as vastly superior as to my other brand. Umm,doubt it bro. Imagine my shock when I found it here for alot less. I bought it just to try to sell it to the noisy sales guy back at the store, but wound up using it along the way. Fabulously easy and perfect flares. It had found a home in my brass pouch. If I would have used it that day the sales guy was showing it, I would have paid that much for it and retired my other brand. Great value for an awesome tool.

Don't be worried if you watch it during use; it does NOT function as a "regular" flaring tool.The "cone" doesn't spin in an axial plane, but more like a super-slow "orbital sander"; slowly oscillating as it's turned.The depressions on the side of the "clamp" allow for easy indexing of the tool and when the side-screw is seated, gives a firm base to work from.An added bonus is the "clutch", which disengages the handle from the yolk shaft when the flare is completed.In addition, the flare's bell and center hole are concentric and smooth when the complete.Only drawback is the construction-material. Softer metal will only Last So Long.All in all, it functions just as described and is a good bang-for-the-buck if your on a "tool budget".....Well done....
