Your cart is empty. Forms the most common standard double flare. Flares fuel, hydraulic brake lines used on most Japanese and American automobiles. This unique design makes flares on 5 sizes of tubing: 3/16, 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 1/2 inch O.D. Will flare soft double-wall steel tubing. It can also be used with soft copper and aluminum tubing. Includes a tool case with a dedicated compartment for each tool.
Insert fuel/hydraulic brake line into flare bar in the correct size, use the adapter base to measure correct protruding length for accurate flare. With proper adapter size attached, screw-down flaring cone until adapter strikes flaring bar surface. Remove adapter and screw-down again with cone attachment. Produce a secure high pressure 45-degree ASE double flare

The product description claims, impossibly, both standard and metric sizings, and the image shows metric sizings on the tool, but I believe that is a manipulated image. I tried flaring a 6mm pipe anyway, and it just pushed the pipe through, because it is slightly smaller than 1/4 inch and can't be held tightly enough. False advertising, that.

The tool was not effective, the studs were weak and the pins sheared with just my hand pressure, took excessive tightening for the tool to grab for a incomplete flare. Do not use on anything harder than CuNi lines for brakes. Not for SST.

Use this to flare a 5/16 inch fuel line end for my hot rod. I made a fuel line to go from my fuel pump to the carburetor. It worked very well.

Normally dont write reviews but this product deserved one. The finish on the mandrel tapers is very good this is important to get a good flare. Some of the cheaper priced tools are poor and some will think they just dont know how to use it when its really the tool.
