Haven't used the set yet but the knives are certainly sharp! When I opened the package the knives were knocked loose from the little tabs that hold them into the case. The knives have a protective cover that shield the very tip of each knife. One of the knives didn't have the cover because it somehow fell off. I opened the amazon box, pulled out the case and felt a sharp poke in my hand from the knife with no cover because it had poked THROUGH the case and was sticking out around half an inch. Very bizarre that this happened, not sure if it was just due to rough shipping but the box looked perfectly fine so I'm not sure on that. Seems like a really nice set but wasn't too pleased about getting stabbed.

Don't let the price fool you. It's a quality set and exactly what you need for dealing with fish. While not top of the line, it gets the job done!

I bought it as a gift and they opened it yesterday and seemed to like it. So unless I hear back any different, I'd say it's a good product.
