Works outside of the rv standing by it but get 10 ft away and it looses signal. Will not work from inside a vehicle. I returned it.

You have to install this to the closest point to the electrical jack and stabilizers. After 4 feet it loses signal.

Doesn't work with my phone good idea also doesn't work with out service so when your camping in an area with no service makes it difficult to set up when you don't have a level

I purchased this on sale and didn't expect much but it worked great straight out of the box, but about a month after it quit for no reason, I tried everything finally Emailed Flat Earth and the shipped me out a new one no issue next day to make my trip it was great and the new one has been working strong!

Before starting, you will want to go to their website and download the instructions or install the app from the app store. There is a card in the box with the necessary information.Installation is pretty straight forward. You attempt to mount this as far forward as you can in your camper. What was a little unclear was if it needed to be centered left to right. I reached out to the support and had an answer in about an hour. You can mount this pretty much anywhere left to right (does not require centering). Since you are calibrating the unit with the camper level, being a bit off in mounting will not be an issue as the calibration process takes care of the rest.I installed mine in a forward compartment within arms reach so that I could get to it without having to enter the camper. Since often we must check that our campsite is level to determine if we need leveling blocks, this was the most convenient place for me. I did drill a pilot hole as the screws are quite small and are not self tapping. Be prepared with a small Phillips screwdriver with a finer point. The unit cover and the mounting screws can use the same size Phillips head.Once mounted, I was able to quickly follow the calibration process. There is some measuring and it varies depending on what type of camper you have (towable, fifth wheel, drivable, etc). Once you level your camper like your normally would, you enter this information the first time and calibrate using the app. The app is quite intuitive and simple to use. It does take a few seconds to connect.Originally I thought I might give it 4 stars because it didn't feel as robust as I thought it should. However after mounting, going through the calibration process and verifying that it actually worked, I found that I was more than pleased with it overall. To me, at this time, it is a 5 star product. The instructions could be a little improved to include the centering and perhaps even a general statement about how the unit works - but this would be a plus. Not an impediment because it was not as clear. Another improvement would be to add a couple of extra mounting screws just in case one stripped the head while trying to drive it in.One last comment. This could be left on instead of turning it off and on. According to support, with the unit in constant on, the battery should last more than a year.
