I make flan @ once a week. Bought this and no longer had the mess from filling water baths, burning my hands on oven racks or boiling water when removing dish from the oven. Fits perfectly into my instant pot. So easy that I bought a second one to cook two at a time. They fit into the pot (barely) but cook somewhat unevenly with both of them in there. Still good to have two of these, can fill them both and cook second flan when first is finished. Cook time is only 9 minutes each so not so much extra time needed.
