I've had this mounted on the back of my van. The holder doesn't have to secure all the weight because it is mounted in a way that a platform below carries some of the weight of the propane tank and reduces how much bouncing it will experience. Still though, It has held up on a couple road trips and nothing has broken or come loose.

It is well made all metal. I have it mounted to my bed rack molle panel on my Gladiator. Holds up great when offroading very rough terrain. Frees up bed space. Easy to use supplied strap and security to know it won't come undone. Looks good and less dollars than the others.

Overall happy with the holder, not fond of the tightening mechanism they use but I'll make it work.

Works perfect with my RCI rack on my truck I put it on the inside I just made two holes on it and put some nuts and bolts and it works perfect for the same brand propane tank I don't know about other tanks from other brands.

Doesn’t seem road tested. Mounted to a rear door on my van and when I shut the door, the strap pops loose and the tank fell to the ground. The clasp never actually comes undone, but the vibration seems to allow the hook to pop off. I’m concerned what a pot hole or bump in the road might do. I’ll have to add an extra strap.

The rack fit my 5# tank perfectly. I wanted to rivet it to my trailer; the top two holes were fine, but couldn’t get the rivet tool to seat properly on the bottom two. But an aggressive sheet metal screw did the trick.

The latch and steel strap on this mechanism are weak points. The latch doesn’t hold shut no matter the adjustments possible and the steel strap doesn’t seem like it will last long and has already tweeked a bit and won’t stay in place with the tank removed. Although this is the least expensive option out there, this is one of those items I feel I should have spent a little more money and bought a nicer product from another company. I did however 3D print a propane hose entry for this tank mount and get it mounted to my van. So your mileage may vary. You can find the van propane inlet STL on thingiverse to print one for yourself as well. Enjoy, folks.
