  • ASME CERTIFIED; X-ray and hydrostatic tested
  • HIGH-QUALITY VALVES INSTALLED: Remote Fill and Bleeder fitting, Pressure Relief Valve, and Solenoid Valve
  • PRE-PURGED AND VACUUM SEALED (comes empty and ready to be filled)
  • DURABLE POWDER COATED for long-lasting rust protection
  • TWIN-SITE REMOTE DIAL GAUGE: 0-90 ohm twin-site gauge is for use with RVs with propane tanks to measure fuel levels
  • HOW THE REMOTE DIAL GAUGE WORKS: It works by varying electrical resistance in proportion to the propane level inside the tank; the resistance range used by the sensor matches the RV tank gauges or monitoring systems
  • RESISTANCE-BASED MEASUREMENT OF THE GAUGE: At full capacity, the sensor will register close to 90 ohms of resistance; at empty, the resistance often drops near 0 ohms; the monitoring system converts this resistance value into a readable fuel level display
  • GAUGE CONNECTION TO RV SYSTEMS: Sensor of the gauge should be wired to a central monitoring panel inside the RV to provide real-time propane level updates for convenient tracking

Flame King's 12. 2 Gallon propane cylinder is manufactured to ASME specifications in facilities with a Quality Management System certified to ISO 9002 requirements. The advantage of ASME cylinders vs. DOT is that they do not require recertification after 12 years from the Date of Manufacture. This tank is 12. 3" in diameter, 28" in length, and the height including the collar/bracket 15. 5 inches". The collar on its own is 4 inches. Compatible with Flame King Mountable RV ASME Tanks with bolt-on gauge. Very easy to install via the Bolt-On Attachment mechanism. Dial indicator shows the propane level through a built-in 0-90 ohm magnetic black sensor. It works by varying electrical resistance in proportion to the propane level inside the tank; the resistance range used by the sensor matches the RV tank gauges or monitoring systems. At full capacity, the sensor will register close to 90 ohms of resistance; at empty, the resistance often drops near 0 ohms; the monitoring system converts this resistance value into a readable fuel level display. This sensor should be wired to a central monitoring panel inside the RV to provide real-time propane level updates for convenient tracking.

The tank appears to be a refurbished tank. This is evidenced by overspray of spray paint used to hide defects and rust and by the rust and crud on the fitting threads. No manufacturer installation or instructions come with the tank. Manufacture date was 2022.

This thing showed up looking like a 10 year old put it together and painted it. No way was I going through the work to install it. Pass for me

Got this for my Promaster van build. Fits perfect in the area where the spare tire goes. To gain some ground clearance, now it's above the axle, I had to shorten the mounting plates. Just cut them shorter and welded them up and it fits perfect! Way better size for me compared to the smaller Manchester tanks.
