The screen is clear and stable for a small hand device. It will not tell you if you are in afib or bigemminy. In other words it does not diagnose which rythum which is ok for me because I know how to read rhythms just gives you an overall heart rate.

First off, the unit is low quality and the documentation was written by someone who can't speak English. Its hard to follow. The brand I received wasn't even the brand that was advertised. The software was like something out of the 80's and extremely bad (files were dated 2007!). I was able to download data but nothing else. I couldn't review it, analyze it or print it so it was worthless to me. To top it off I went to review my data and there was data from someone else in the memory! So clearly this was a return that the company tried to stick me with. I tried to locate a website for this company and none was in the documentation nor could I find it on the web (the brand name sent to me was "observer"). Frankly, this company has a lot of guts sending out junk like this. Steer clear of this product!

Pro:1. Support continous mode, with or without full length data save on PC. Extremely useful on catching infrequent short symptom.2. Be able to attach electrodes. Just attach with some standard gel pad on chest, you will be free from clenching the device during continous capture, and the wave will be free from most electric noise.3. Powered by 2 removable AAA battery. (may be a con for someone?)Con:1. 20th century look and feel, 20th century build quality(but still quite soild), 20th century software UI.2. FDA clearance in doubt.3. Not senior friendly. The buttons are too small.

Looks and feels like old tech. My Apple Watch does the same. Waste of money unless you want to hook up electrodes all over your body and hit the treadmill

The unit is supposed to beep with each heartbeat. The first unit I received did not beep no matter what I tried. Turned the beep off and then on. Turned the unit on and off multiple times. Tried six times and that was it. Sent back for a replacement because the unit is well designed and I hope I got the one out of a thousand that came from the factory with a small defect. And I hope that defect was just the beeping and not the way it read the heart signal.

First and foremost, I had tried Alivecor Kardiamobile device which takes a ECG from your fingers. It looked promising except when the warts came out: you eventually need to sign up for a subscription to have your readings analyzed. Looking for self-assurance NOW rather than later, I was out looking for another device. I believe this Facelake FL20 is tremendous. Here's why: I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks. Obviously my heart rate is in a tachycardia state (over 100 BPM). The Alivecor wouldn't give results as to the pattern of my rhythm unless I paid to have a cardiologist tech look at it (I believe this was $7-10 a pop....after your free trial period). The Facelake on the other hand provides instant results regardless of heart rate. Several times during an anxiety attack, I've used the device and received a "stable heart rhythm" read out with the higher heart rate. It immediately clears my mind of worry as I've never been diagnosed with a heart issue. Unlike the other product, this also has clips and a wire to take a different measurements. All data can be stored (up to 200) and using it takes a mere 30 seconds. Obvious disclaimer, as well as found upon firing up the device, if you have any doubts or heart issues, see a doctor or hospital. This device seems perfect for people with minute issues and those who want to ensure they're on the right cardiac track. It's cheaper than the Alivecor products and I'm very happy with my investment.Potential cons: obviously a reading that states you have an issue when you don't (I've gotten 2 out of the hundred or so taken....took the reading again...back to stable), the manner in which you grip and push the device into your palm can be awkward and cause bad readings. Be sure to follow all tips and the instructions.Pros: no need to wait on a cardio tech to check your results, gives you answers in 30 seconds, quick, painless, results can be downloaded onto your computer for print out to take to your doctor, and price when compared to other devices.
