Had a trap leaking on a tub installed in 1952. Cast iron tub surrounded by vintage ceramic tile that is no longer made. A true repair would have renovated the bathroom! Did I mention the house is on a slab and the leak was very slow. Will I read about this stuff and thought it was worth a try. It was poured in about a 2 table spoons and let it set for a week. The trap now holds water and the septic system vents through the vent stack pipe like it should. Now I know this is not possible for people with only one bathroom but because we had a second bath option we had time to let the stuff cure. Cheaper than a remodel!

This works great for most hot tub leaks. It will seal up to 1/8 size leak on the OUTPUT SIDE OF THE PUMP OR PIPES. It can not seal a leak if it is on the suction side unless you apply it directly on the outside of the pipe and then let it get sucked in and cure.It will seal fast in 2 days. However after about 30 days you may see the leak resume this is from the material curing and the vibration of the water flow. So you want to do it a second time to seal and additional leaks.I suggest getting the 32 oz bottle. That will easily do a 10 x 10 hot tub at least 3 times if needed

My Sundance hot tub was leaking water at about 5 gallons daily. Service guy said it was a difficult fix, pipes were underneath. I took out the filter and slowly added Marlig so it would get sucked into the intake. Next day, there was no drop in water. 15 days later, water level was still unchanged, not leaking! After about 20 days, the pool level dropped about 6 inches. Refilled the tub and repeated the process. Again, it stopped the leak immediately. Filter is still out. Will see how things go, I will update my rating either way depending on what happens. Also noted that one of the jet outlets was very sluggish after use; it may have plugged it. More to come.Well, I added the second bottle and it has held now through April. I have not returned the filter to the tub, continued with routine chemicals. The tub is not crystal clear, my suspicion is that there is residual particulate from this product that may be helping to continue stopping the leak, like platelets that clot blood. (Sorry for that analogy, I am in health care!) That being said, it has not dropped any water in the past 4 months! That is a whole lot better than having to refill 20 gallons every day, or worse having to replace the tub. I plan to change the water, install a new filter and will then see how it does. My review started with 3/5 stars, now up to 4/5 stars. Bottom line, if you are in dire straits, go for it, you have nothing to lose and may buy you more time.04/25/21- Filter is back in, so this is NOT a permanent fix. You will stop the leak as long as the sealer stays in. Disappointing, but still cheaper than a new tub at this time. Back to only 3 stars

Let me start by saying that I has serious doubts about how effective this product was going to be. It seemed too good to be true, but it got a lot of positive feedback and it is not that expensive, so what the heck.It stopped the leak in my hot tub in one day! I waited a week before reviewing the product because I wanted to be sure the leak had actually stopped. Sure enough, the water level has not dropped at all. I was losing close to 2 inches a day before I used this. The process was so simple. I took off the water filter, poured the product into the tub near a suction point and let the tub run. The product gets sucked into the pipes, finds the leak, seals it and that's it! I have some product residue remaining that is sitting at the bottom of my tub, so I'm going to drain, let the tub sit dry for about a week to really let the stuff dry and then refill and enjoy my hot tub for the fall!I emailed the company asking about how to handle the residue and they said I can either just reinstall the filter to filter it out or drain, clean and let sit for a week before refilling. As you saw above, I'm playing it safe and just draining.I will likely buy another bottle of this to have on standby in case the leak opens up again, which wouldn't shock me. I'd much rather use this product every now and again than spend over $1,000 on someone coming out to fix the tub. I was very close to getting rid of it altogether, but Fixaleak worked and now my wife and I are looking forward to using the tub for the fall!

I have a small, 2-person indoor spa that is probably about 20 years old. The manufacturer (Galbocca) seems to have gone out of business. It developed a very small leak towards the end of this winter. The leak was such that it only leaked when I was running the pump/heater - when turned off and just sitting full of water, no leak was apparent. Of course the tub is only usable with the pump/heater running, so I needed to fix it. Since this is indoors in a finished, drywalled room, any amount of leakage would be unacceptable. And, there is no way to get to the internal plumbing of the tub as it is a single-piece, spray-foam unit - I would have to carve out all of the foam to be able to directly seal any pipes or gaskets.I filled the tub with water, removed my filter, added 4 oz of this product to the skimmer intake, and ran the pump/heater. I placed a small pond pump in the bottom as well, to help circulate the water and polymer. The leak seems to have sealed up immediately, and my floor is bone dry. After running the tub with the polymer for 36 hours, I am now draining the tub to let everything dry out and cure.I will let the tub dry for two weeks before I attempt to fill it up and run it again. I will update my response then to let you know if the seal is holding.
