Getting the Best Reception

How to Scan Channel?

To me, real easy to put together without instructions. Have worked machinery/construction most of my life. I did add lock washers (not included) to all the bolts you have to put in, just don't like things vibrating apart. Put it up on the roof to test before mounting it to my existing satellite pole. It picked up 67 channels, most of no interest to me but the ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, CW, PBS and Ion have great picture quality. Those are the main channels I wanted, a website said most of the TV transmitters were 26 miles away. Seems to work well for the $49.99 purchase price. Installed 3/3/25, will update if necessary.

Captures signal better than my old antenna. Can’t speak to 200 mile range as farthest signal I scan is 40 miles away. I can’t get stations 100 miles away.

This is a replacement for another antenna. I’d been having problems with intermittent reception. I tried repositioning the old antenna, adding a signal booster, nothing worked. This antenna solved the issue, was inexpensive and fairly easy to assemble. The assembly instructions were a bit confusing, but doable. After months of intermittent reception, this solved the problem.Thank you.

Have always been a fan of broadcast TV. Living in the Black Hills of western South Dakota an indoor antenna doesn't do anything.Purchased this antenna to pick up a few of the local channels. Assembly was simple following the included directions. Installation was also a breeze as I used an existing satellite pole to mount the antenna to.Once completed, I scanned for channels and was shocked that it found 47 total stations. I was amazed by the clarity and quality of all of them.If you are on the fence if this antenna works, trust me, it works great in my situation.Value, quality and free channels, what more would a person need.

Easy assembly, excellent function, at a good price. I live in a marginal signal area 62 miles from the TV antennas. some obstructions are in the way as well. Pulled in all the signals easily.

The antenna is well made and engineered. The written instructions were a bit confusing but fortunately the illustrations were clear and helpful. Installed it on a 1 3/8” mast instead of the supplied mast per personal preference. Was able to get over 60 channels which all looked very clean without pixelation.The rub here is that the cable connectors are poor. It is RG6U but is a thinner diameter than I’m used to seeing but that’s not the issue. The cable came loose from the connector back shell nut with the nut still attached to the splitter. I had used a pair of needle nose pliers to snug the cable to the splitter as was done with the other cables from the house to the splitter when the connector back shell nut separated from the cable assembly. Was able to get it to work in the short term by slipping the nut over the flanged end of the connector assembly, barely tightening the connector and removing any torquing moment due to cable stiffness. Will be purchasing a better quality exterior cable and some connectors to replace the existing cable assembly allowing custom length sizing. This would have been a five rating but is downgraded to a four due to the cable assembly and wished I had just purchased the antenna without the cable.

The Antanna works great But what ever you do don’t use the coax unless you want to replace it with in days I used the coax that came with it had great reception for two days then no reception I started to look at the coax wire and in every spot that there was a bend the center wire was broken into

OTA = Over The Air...verses cable, satellite, streaming, etc.I was recently a tech with a very popular satellite TV company. We also installed OTA antennas and often had to struggle to get OTA channels to come in well when the location is 50+ miles away from big city TV broadcast towers.This antenna seems to be a very good one... putting it together might be a bit confusing for some, but so far it seems worth the trouble. Now this product does NOT have a built-in amplifier (but that's one of the reasons I like it). Sure, a built-in amp might draw in a few more channels (or make some a little more clear) but it also means it will need to plug-in to electric power somewhere.I am 45 miles away from several TV towers and this manufacturer recommends trying the antenna indoors before installing it outdoors (which is always smart). I picked up over 40 channels indoors and the picture was perfect on most of them. I haven't installed it outdoors yet and that's the only reason I gave it 3 stars for ease of installation... but I will update this post once I do have it installed. I expect over 100 channels but it's really not about HOW MANY channels you pick-up, it's HOW MANY CHANNELS YOU WANT that you pick up. I happen to know that living outside of Houston TX there are only about 20-30 local stations that I actually want... many of the others are foreign channels or shopping networks that I would never watch.Even the best OTA TV antenna can't help signals much if you are 200+ miles from no where. But so far I am pretty happy with this product. I bought the full-install package that came with the mounting pole, brackets, and 40 feet of cable. I was pleasantly surprised they even included things like "pitch-patch' which are little tar squares to be placed between the roof and the mounting plate screws before it is tightened down. There are even mounting clips (and a few zip ties) to help with running the cable from the antenna to the splitter (which is also included with the mounting kit). The only thing that could make this better is a having a few more specifics on antenna assembly, so you KNOW exactly which antenna sections connect to the others and which end faces which. Also, there were no instructions for the mount kit but other than a wide variety of screws the kit looks fairly simple.* UPDATE* Nearly 5 months later and I am still happy with this OTA Antenna. Nearly every channel is crystal clear high definition. I have had zero problems except for a few occasions, when storms seem to have affected the reception of one or two distant TV stations, but those are far and few between. I'm sure you can buy bigger, better, more expensive antennas... but I still recommend this antenna and am quite happy with it.

This antenna is absolutely amazing from a real person here that lives about 60 miles from my favorite American channels out in the county near windsor ontario canada. I have tried several over the years and nothing but poor signal especially in a hint of rain or overcast days and even at night when signals are lowered by stations. Well thus antenna has been flawless in some pretty big huge storms although I haven't experienced snow fall yet so we will see...yet I have high hopes so far as again this has been a great antenna so far. No more adjustments constantly of last few I have tried.***Well after some major wind and snow storms this past winter...I am absolutely amazed with this antenna. This was so well worth the purchase finally after many years of trying expensive ones and gimmicky antennas. This truly works and this review is from a very real non biased canadian man. There is good distance from me in the county off the lake so I do get more extreme weather conditions because of lake effects to American TV stations towers and again this antenna honestly rocked in all these conditions with rarely.. and I mean rarely a disruption ever. Anyone that had an issue either got a defective one or like I've had before with lg tvs kind of like a reverse polarity and actually caused the issues in line with all other tvs. Weird but true since I replaced that lg tv every tv (8 of them ) all on this one antenna with one booster works great. So maybe it's the actual tv causing issues as well of a bad line or need a proper booster as all boosters are not alike either with power and non power that can also cause problems. It took awhile to figure out just one of my tvs was the problem in stream and also one of the power boosters after went bad like every 2 years
